I agree with waterfall. There doesn't seem to be any East Coast locations. There's the Shenandoah National Park, which includes the Blue Ridge Parkway, and not to mention the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Other than that, it's a good article.

It would be considered a good article, but there are few East Coast locations. The Bayous, Appalachians (Natural Bridge anyone?), Civil War battlefields and the grassroots of the country are just as important/beautiful. Tis all opinions though, as the West is also gorgeous.

The Cape Hatteras National Seashore is absolutely stunning. There isn't much else to do in the Outer Banks of North Carolina, but it's absolutely amazing. And with a ferry ride, you can find yourself on Ocracoke Island.... Oh my. Ocracoke is just the most beautiful place I've ever been. You just get that village feel as everyone rides their bikes everywhere and there's very little cars on the island. The beaches are beautiful and that short and stout lighthouse is the quirkiest thing against the vast ocean.

I also recommend Acadia National Park. I pretty much grew up camping there. That park is so beautiful. It's down on the coast of Maine and it is just... omigawd. I can't even explain how amazing it is. We used to camp there since I was just a baby every summer. We have so many memories there lol. <3

I've lived in Port Angeles my whole life, so I've been to the Olympic National Park countless times. I'd definitely recommend going there at least once in your life; it's absolutely gorgeous!
