Mibba's Thoughts: Characters You Love

In this week's edition of Mibba's Thoughts, Mibbians discuss the types of characters they love.

I love any character with depth. Where they're totally fleshed out and you can relate to them in one way or another, and you often forget they're fictional and you find yourself wishing they were a real person. Multi-layered. Whether they're a villain, a sweetheart, an anti-hero, or whatever else, as long as I can tell the author has spent hours meticulously and successfully bringing them to life, I'm bound to fall in love.

Those characters that seem really shallow and two-dimensional but by the end of the story are more complex and interesting than any of the others.

And characters that are quietly self-deprecating. Not the ones who don't stop going on about how ugly and worthless they are, the ones who genuinely have no self-esteem and express it in tiny gestures and throwaway comments. When it's subtle like that, I just want to hug them so much

Optimistic and hopeful characters. It's so annoying to constantly read characters that are all doom and gloom, never have a good thing to say about anything, and take the blessings that they do have for granted.

I like well-written guys that seem dark but have a soft side to the girl they have feelings for whatever.

As far as female characters, I like the ones with a well-off job and a decent life
