Mibbian of the Week: Goddess_Of_Mischief

Goddess_Of_Mischief is an awesome Mibbian who loves the freedom Mibba offers her. In this week's Mibbian of the Week, we take a closer look at Jessica.

When did you join Mibba and how did you find the site?

I joined Mibba roughly 9 months ago, in March I think. It's not that long in comparison to some other members, but I'm glad to have been active for this long. Two of my best friends recommended the site to me because all three of us like creative writing. I was looking for somewhere to post my first fanfiction, and they suggested Mibba!

What area of Mibba are you most active on?

I don't really have a definite answer for this. I'd say that recently, I've been most active on the blogs section, but I've also been very active on the stories section in the past and I hope to become more active in that area in the near future. I try to use all areas of the site from time to time like the poems section, forums, etc.

What is your favorite thing about Mibba?

The sense of comfort and freedom. To me, Mibba is like a best friend that you can tell anything to. Whenever something has happened in my life, be it good or bad, I love having the freedom to be able to write a blog, or post a poem or ANYTHING that lets someone know about how I'm feeling. Even if just one person reads what I have to say, it means a lot. Generally, the people on this site are very kind and considerate of other people's opinions, so I can post things in confidence. The members are helpful and give advice if you ask for it. Overall, Mibba is a safe haven for me, and that's the thing I like most about it.

What is your least favorite?

The fact that some stories don't get as much attention as they should do. I know that this can't be helped very much, but it's kind of disappointing when I (or someone else) put hours and hours of work into a story that no one reads. Yes, I understand that it is more important to enjoy writing the story for yourself than for your audience, and I acknowledge that, but I'm pretty sure that I'm speaking for a lot of members on this site when I say that certain stories should be given more of a response. I'm not bashing so-called 'silent readers', because I understand that some people don't want to comment on things for whatever reason, and I respect that.

If you had to describe Mibba to someone who had never been on the site, what would you say?

I would say that it's an amazing creative writing site with a friendly community feel to it. You instantly feel welcome from the moment you join, and the members' kindness inspires you to write, blog, or whatever it is you want to do. I'd also say that it's a brilliant place to read other people's creations, to comment and evaluate them, and to give them support. You can make new friends, learn new things, and improve your writing skills. It's great!

What advice do you have for any new Mibbians?

Don't be shy! Pretty much no one on the site is going to bite. Talk to people, read their stories, get involved on forums. Once you've made a few friends, the amount of opportunities available to you on the site grow significantly. From there, you can do whatever you want to do, whether it's writing, blogging, or just reading other people's creations. Branch out. Interact.

Is there anything you'd like to say to all the Mibbians out there?

I hope you found my opinions on Mibba interesting to read! If you ever want to chat, you can PM me. If you like reading Loki fanfiction or fantasy, then check out my stories. Any readers will be appreciated! But above all of that, keep writing, keep reading, and KEEP ENJOYING THE SITE! You're all awesome.

Special thanks to Airi. and Katie Mosing for editing!
