Introduction to the Forums: New Mibba

On a site that has its administrators and owner openly communicate with users, it is obvious for Mibba to have a section in the forums dedicated to discussion about the site. This includes the reporting of any problems that a user might be experiencing, such as a site glitch or a computer glitch, or general discussion about the site. This section of the forums also specifically allows site updates to be publically displayed and easily reached should someone need to refer back to it somewhere in the future.

For this article, the New Mibba forum is being discussed.

A move that was welcomed by some and rejected by others was the setting up of the mini sites that linked back to Mibba but didn't quite contain the supervision that many expected. At the time, some thought that it was a one-off thing but Dujo soon proved them wrong with the creation of several other mini sites, each one dedicated to a specific fandom. The Mini Sites thread was set up to allow users to put forward their own suggestions about what the next mini site could be, with the exception of original fiction, which wasn't exempt from this idea but rather had to be theme-based rather than the generalised idea of "original fiction". This forum is still active for submissions of ideas and any queries one might have.

For "two weeks" Mibbians waited patiently for the promised newer, better version of the site. Some theorised that it would never come, as Dujo the Timelord apparently experienced time differently to us Earthlings (which would explain the extended wait users endured), but finally, after a handful of years waiting, New Mibba arrived. A new layout, new features - a new version of an old site. But then emerged New, New Mibba which came shortly after the initial upgrade, confusing almost every Mibbian. Thus the New, New Mibba was and still is active for users to discuss the newest version of the site, and any features they like and dislike.

Since the introduction of new, new Mibba, a few users lament about features that were in the old version but were scrapped in the newer version. Some people preferred the profile options of the old version, whilst others enjoy the new, simplistic profile - so what better way to expand on the discussion than a thread? New vs Old allows users to state whether they liked the older version better than the newer version, whether one feels there are better features on the newer version but still love features from the older one, or someone else prefers only one of the versions with no exceptions.

Problems that Mibbians might be experiencing can be reported in this forum as well, making sure that Read Before Posting is scanned beforehand. So long as the problem hasn't already been answered within the forum, all threads that are reporting about issues to do with the site are checked and answers appropriately.
