Mibbian of the Week: Blissed Out

Blissed Out is a wonderful Mibbian who is active on all areas of the site. In this edition of Mibbian of the Week, we take a closer look at this awesome member.

When did you join Mibba and how did you find the site?

I joined Mibba almost three weeks ago, I think; that was when I posted my first blog entry. I found Mibba through a Google search for creative writing community. After looking around for a bit and seeing that there were so many stories in a lot of fandoms and a lot of members my age, I signed up!

What is your favorite thing about Mibba?

So far...probably the stories, the events, and how friendly people have been. Just in my first few days here, I was able to talk to a lot of people and read a bunch of great stories. And the monthly events (I got a chance to do the 'Comment-a-Thon' and now I’m doing the ‘Getting to Know You’ thing) have been really fun.

What does being a Mibbian mean to you?

Meeeeebian. I like that name! For me, being a very new Mibbian means getting to be in a place where I can be around other people my age who also love writing and share my interests and not feel judged for it. I don’t feel weird or out of place if I’m crushing on a celeb or a fictional character. I don’t feel uncomfortable sharing my work or skeevy for liking to read fanfictions. Being a Mibbian means I get to feel a little more at home than I do in other places.

If you could change one thing about Mibba, what would it be and why?

Some of the blog layouts are really hard to read. O_o With the stories, if the layouts are tough to view, you can switch to a plain one. I wish we could do that with the blogs.

What hobbies do you have outside of Mibba and writing?

Other than Mibba, writing, and reading, I love exploring my city. There’s so much to see in NY and sometimes when you’re born here, you don’t really take advantage of that. I like getting friends together and visiting places we haven’t been before, even if it’s silly touristy spots.

What are your plans for the future?

For the immediate future? Finish up high school and go to a university outside of New York. I’d also like to attend a big music festival. My sister and I would love to take a trip and do Coachella or Lollapalooza, and hopefully one day we’ll be able to. And I want to someday complete a full-length story.
