Introducing Clubs: Asian Drama

The Asian Drama Fandom Club is a wonderful club run by kim wonshik. In this edition of Introducing Clubs, the club's president tells us everything we need to know about this awesome club.

What is the Asian Drama Fandom Club all about?

The Asian Drama Club is all about bringing together Mibbians who enjoy watching dramas - and even movies - that come from Asia - whether they be Japanese, Korean, Chinese, and Taiwanese and so on! It's really a place to gush about your favorite dramas and the actors and actresses who bring them to life.

What are some features of the club?

The club tries to offer as much as it can to its members and we post about new updates as often as possible. In our updates we have some cool features like our Drama Queen or King - where we highlight one member of the club who has been active and helps spread the drama spirit, a Dramarama Poll - where we ask questions like who's your favorite actor or drama at the moment, our Dramatically Newsworthy section - where we share some cool news articles concerning dramas or the stars who make them happen, and a Dramatic GIF of the week to highlight one drama. We also recently started a Drama Review List where we're compiling all of the Asian drama and movie reviews on Mibba so we can have them in one convenient spot for our members in hopes that they'll be able to pick up a new show or movie to watch!

What would you say the motto of the club is?

Unfortunately, we don't have much of a motto, but let me see if I can make one up. Maybe... "The only good drama is an Asian drama." Sadly, I'm not that creative, haha! I guess if we did have a motto, it would be "Happy Marathoning!"

What is it like being the president of this club?

I'd have to say that it's very rewarding. I've been able to expand my drama horizons and have been able to find new shows that I've fallen absolutely in love with thanks to the members that are a part of the drama community. It's also fun to share news with the members and I feel responsible for making sure that everyone has a good time and stays a little informed with what's going on with the shows and stars.

What would you say to anyone who is thinking of joining?

Join. Don't think about it. Even if you've never heard about any Asian dramas whatsoever, we're more than happy to welcome you to our ranks and show you what it's all about. Trust me, we're nice people. We don't bite, we obsess!
