Mibbian of the Week: pearl hunter

Pearlhunter is an awesome Mibbian who participates in many things on Mibba, from contests to NaNoWriMo writing groups. In this edition of Mibbian of the Week, we take a closer look at Safiya.

When did you join Mibba, and how did you find the site?

It was around May/June 2012, exam time. I was looking for a distraction and some support with my writing and so I googled writing sites; I found a bunch and tried them out, but this was the one that I liked the most. :)

What is your favorite thing about Mibba?

Ahhhh, there are so many great things, but I guess my favourite is the community feel you get in the forums. There are so many different people from so many different walks of life sharing what they know and think (cheesy sounding, I know). But I have genuinely learnt so much about things in the world and the way people think that I just didn't know before, and it's a nice feeling to learn something new.

What does being a Mibbian mean to you?

It means being a part of Mibba's community, a massive family of people who enjoy reading and writing and who support each other through it.

If you could change one thing about Mibba, what would it be and why?

I quite like it the way it is, although a fresh coat of paint to spice things up a bit wouldn't hurt. ;)

What hobbies do you have outside of Mibba and writing?

I like sports, especially Tae Kwon Do and track athletics, and I've just started doing a bit of composing on the side when I have the time.

What are your plans for the future?

Hopefully graduate university but on the job front, no idea, but I'm not really stressing over it. I do however want to travel and see the rest of Europe and Asia. Oh, and of course actually finish my first novel!!

Is there anything you'd like to say to all the Mibbians out there?

Mibba is so much more than just a collection of stories and poems, it's a hub of information, a massive library of thought, emotion and experience. Try looking in a section you don't normally go in because you never know what you might find or who you'll meet, but most importantly, enjoy every second you spend here. :D
