Fandom Spotlight: Teen Wolf

When it comes to television shows revolving around supernatural creatures, there are a few big names to choose from. One of these shows is Teen Wolf. After first airing in 2011, the show rapidly became a hit amongst fans of the paranormal and here on Mibba, there’s a healthy following of the show.

The Show

Teen Wolf is a television series following the trials and tribulations of Scott McCall, a teenager with an unusual affliction. After being bitten by a werewolf before his sophomore year of high school, Scott finds himself transformed into a werewolf and as well as having to deal with the pressures of high school life, he also has to find the balance between the supernatural aspects of himself and the everyday, mundane aspects.

Along the way, Scott’s journey sees him meet and become friends with several other characters with supernatural afflictions -- from banshees to fox spirits, he meets people with whom he can empathise and relate to. Along for the ride is Scott’s best friend, the very human Stiles Stilinski. With his cohort of supernatural friends and the support of his human friends, Scott must face more problems than any normal teenager should.

Teen Wolf on Mibba

For fans of the show, Mibba is a good place to get involved in the fandom! Anybody who would like to role-play characters from the show can check out the Role-Playing forum. A quick forum search will show you posts from currently active Teen Wolf role-plays that you can read and (if open) join. If you’re looking to start up a new role-play with some other fans, simply post or look in the Role-Play Recruiting Thread.

Teen Wolf Stories on Mibba

If you’re looking for something to read involving Scott and co., then it’s worthwhile to venture out to Mibba’s stories section!

Stydia is a short one-shot by dawn of light, featuring Stiles Stilinski and Lydia Martin. When Stiles suggests the pair should dress up as a couple for Halloween, things get awkward -- quickly.

If you’re looking for a chaptered story to read, then consider checking out Season of the Witch by addylynn95. This story features original character October Hallowell. After an attack leaves her with multiple scars, October finds herself returning to Beacon Hills, where she enrols in the local school and meets multiple new people, including Stiles Stilinski and Isaac Lahey. What follows is a mix of traditional school life and not-so-traditional problems.

There’s a full 31 pages of stories in the Teen Wolf tag, with plenty of talent and good writing to read through! However, if you can’t find anything that you like then you can always create a Teen Wolf centric contest or challenge in the Contests and Challenges forum.
