Mibbian of the Week: lifeless devils;

Marissa (known to Mibbians as lifeless devils;) is a Mibba veteran who is very active in the roleplaying forum and graphic making side of the site! In this week’s edition of Mibbian of the Week, she’s here to tell us a bit more about herself.

How long have you been on Mibba?

I've been here a long time, since about April 2009 I believe.

How often do you log on? How long would you say you spend on the site when you do log on?

I'm usually online all day unless I'm at work—I'll be mobile or on my computer since I'm in college online and have a lot of free time.

Which part of the site are you most active in?

The roleplay forums, it's a great place to really let my imagination run wild.

How often do you read stories and poems? How often do you comment or recommend the things you read?

I try to do that at least once a day and I ALWAYS (as of lately) try to comment because it's so important to get feedback. I tend to forget sometimes but lately I like to think I'm getting better.

What draws you to the that things you read?

I really enjoy something that's thought out, has good grammar and spelling. I like a small content part of the layout because I'm blind but it's not necessary. What draws me to some things that I read is not giving away too much at first—it's really hard to read a story when I know everything.

Tell us about a few of your favourite stories/works by other Mibbians.

I read these two stories this week and they were brilliant I have never loved stories so much!

The first is The Things That Matter Most, which is a sequel in a trilogy about Brian Haner Jr. and his wife's journey to becoming parents.

The second, A Life Less Ordinary, was such a great story. It's a fan fiction based on Bane, I'd never read one based on him before but had heard of him. It was on my dash when I was online so I thought I'd give it a read. Best decision of my life, this story had the perfect amount of conflict. Trigger warning: Kidnapping and rape is mentioned.

Are you working on anything on Mibba right now?

I am actually I have several things I should be working on but as of right now, Swallowing Light is the one story I'm putting all my time into. I posted it on the mini site ages ago and never finished it so now I'm trying to pick up the plotted pieces and finished writing it.

Like you said, you're quite active in the roleplaying section of the site. How long have you been roleplaying for and what got you interested in it?

I've been role playing since I was about 12 and I think it just came naturally to me, I don't ever remember being introduced to it. All I know is that my first role play was probably Phantom of the Opera and it was a lot of fun so I kept at it. A lot of my stories are based on role plays I've done in the past.

What has been your favourite Mibba experience (something that has happened to you on the site)?

It was when everyone came together for my shoutout to all the college students and we gave them advice to get through it. College is something a lot of people struggle with mentally so I was hoping to help them in any way I could.

Anything you want to say to your fellow Mibbians?

I am a friend to anyone, if you want to talk or shoot story ideas at me 'till you can get the plot together, I'm that person who will always listen. If you need someone to talk you down when you're upset or someone to vent to when you're crying, I'm that person. I'm a great listener.

And last but not least, if you could only listen to one band for the rest of time, which band would you choose and why?

That's really hard but I'd probably choose either Avenged Sevenfold or Panic! at the Disco. It's really hard to make a solid decision.
