Mibbian of the Week: prayers.

Evy (known to us as prayers.) is a lovely veteran Mibbian who can most commonly be seeing recommending lots of great stories! In this week’s edition of Mibbian of the Week, she’s here to tell us a bit more about herself.

How long have you been on Mibba?

I've been on Mibba since 2013, summer before my first NaNo. I've been on site for longer, with a different account, but I've never actually participated so this is what counts!

How often do you log on? How long would you say you spend on the site when you do log on?

I log on at least once a day, although I do try to check back as much as possible. On the first run or when I'm tight with time, I normally spend around half an hour, just to see what's new and recommend few stories. Then, if I have time, I stay behind and actually read through stuff.

Which part of the site are you most active in?

Most definitely stories! I've told myself I will try and be active with blogs, but I can somehow never find the time for it (or, when I do have time, I lack a topic that could be community-useful, so to speak). c:

How often do you read stories and poems? How often do you comment or recommend the things you read?

All the time! I really do try to read more, or read variety. I always love it when I find something new to follow and hope for. Sadly, I don't really comment much, because I mainly feel like I have nothing to say other than "Wow okay. Wow" hahah

What draws you to the that things you read?

If it's the first time I see the story and if the first chapter is catching is what usually has me in. If I find a concept interesting or new, then it's a huge plus and I'll most likely follow it through.

Tell us about a few of your favourite stories/works by other Mibbians

Where am I going to end? I've got a lot of favourites, but for right now I'm going to say Notes From Outer Space, Theory of a Dead Girl, and ACE because I can't really pick just one from inej ghafa but I'm going to have to ahah. Also, the one that really stuck with me was definitely Cevin, my absolute all-time fave!

Are you working on anything on Mibba right now?

I am desperately trying ahhaha. But honest, I'm mainly trying out some new short stories— I've applied to some contests in past months and they inspired me a whole lot, so there's that. I might be bringing some stories back, but renewed and making more sense, but it's only a vague idea for now.

What has been your favourite Mibba experience (something that has happened to you on the site)?

Ahhh it's really not much, but what has made me happy times and times again is that I can be inactive for a while and still talk to people easily when I come back, because everybody is so friendly and willing to help.
