Mibba Eats: Watermelon Green Tea

With Spring finally here and Summer just around the corner, everyone will be breaking out the refreshing drinks to sip while enjoying the sun. However, these drinks are notoriously high in sugar, and you may find yourself searching for a healthier alternative. If this is a struggle for you, Watermelon Green Tea may be exactly what you’re looking for! It tastes great, is easy to make, and is healthy to boot. The simplicity also makes it incredibly versatile – make it for a party on a lovely, sunny day or drink it while you’re curled up with a good book.

This recipe makes 2-3 servings.

What You Need

  • 1 1/2 cups of green tea, chilled
  • 4 cups of watermelon, seeds removed and chilled
  • 1/2 tbs of lemon or lime juice
  • A blender

What to Do

  1. Steep the green tea in freshly boiled water and, once it is cooled, put it in the fridge until it is chilled. This will take approximately 3 hours.
  2. Once chilled, put the 1 1/2 cups of green tea into the blender. Add the watermelon and lemon juice.
  3. Blend on high for approximately one minute until the mixture is completely blended together.
  4. Pour into glasses and serve!
