The first few chapters of this story are full of moments that will have you smiling at the sweet touches that transpire between the couple, crying once you realize that their love story is abruptly ended in tragedy, and sorely pitying the young father that must try to deal with the fact that he’s lost his beloved wife and gained a new daughter all at the same time.

The father-daughter relationship that the author paints is something that is very endearing, but she manages to keep us remembering that he’s young as well by inserting a few characters that bring out a side in him which is refreshing to see. She makes us realize that he can be a responsible father and live a life that might introduce a new sweetheart, all at the same time.

Though this is a fan-fiction story, the events that happen and the overall plot itself are dramatically different from every other fan-fic out there. The character is one that is frequently written about, but the person you meet in this story isn’t the same one you’re introduced to in all the others.

With circumstances that are so real and emotions that are so raw, this story is easy to picture as you read the words that were expertly written by a highly-talented, amateur author. A counter balance of sadness, humor, and happiness- this is a piece that I would proudly recommend any of you read.
