A Rebel's Review

Alice just wanted friends. She was tired of being a nerd, so she decided to go up to all the groups in her school and asked to be their friend. All of the groups rejected her, except for the rebels. This is how Alice became the rebel’s apprentice.

Type: Original Fiction
Genre: Romance, Drama, Teen
Rating: R-Restricted
Status: Completed

Alice never would have imagined becoming a member of the rebels, let alone allowing herself to fall in love with their leader. She also never expected to change him. She fell for him and a few times she was forced away from him which caused not just her pain, but him as well.

And after being with Cookie, Ethan never thought that he would fall in love again. He didn’t expect that he would ever meet someone like Alice that could change him and make him never want to let go. He didn’t expect anything unusual to happen when he accepted Alice as his apprentice. But something did happen. She was taken away from him, he had to pretend to be her boyfriend to protect her, they hurt each other, and they were nearly separated forever because of him

Everyone seems to be working against them – everyone from her father to the school counselor, his drug dealer to his ex. But aside from all of this, the two of them become friends and find that they have something unbreakable – love. Their battle was not an easy one, but it was an adventure that neither of them would trade for the world.

The Rebel's Apprentice is one of those stories that I was thinking about for a while after I finished reading it. I have gone back to read it three more times simply because I think it was that good. The plot is full of drama, as well as funny with happy moments. The chapters are decently long, which is great because I personally prefer long chapters and I know that other people do, too. I also like the story because something new is always happening, and although it isn't a story where you have absolutely no idea what will happen, it isn't a story where you know the ending before it began, and I think that those kinds of stories are the best.

It’s difficult to find a good book, so it’s habit to find an author’s other works after reading something good. This author, LipStickAndGunShots, is one that I keep coming back to. She is reliable with updates, and she has a way with words and plot development that will never give you the same story twice. I think that she is a great author, and I have never been disappointed by anything she’s written. So, if you want an action-filled love story, you should give The Rebel's Apprentice a try. It may not seem like your cup of tea at first, but in the end, I think it will be worth your time.
