He said he would never let go of her, but things changed and they began to fight. She began to lock herself away, still wanting to be with her ex. However, this story is about her walking away from it all; about her no longer being dependent on someone who left her - someone who would not be coming back.

I’m generally not a fan of stories of this nature simply because I’m a ‘happy ending’ type of person, but this story is one I quite enjoyed reading. I enjoyed because it was about becoming independent, which is often times one of the hardest things you can ever attempt to do.

This story is very well written. I love that it allows you just a glimpse of this couple’s relationship while keeping focus on the ending. It is one of those stories that can tell you everything without outright revealing anything. It’s the subtle hint of mystery that makes this one of the best stories to read.
