The story “No Ordinary Life” is a story unlike any sci-fi that I have ever read since “The Hitchhiker’s guide to the Galaxy”. I can’t name many written sci-fis that I can compare this story to, but I can tell you “No Ordinary Life” is full of excitement, wonder, danger, and a struggle to survive.
The prologue starts off as a rush. Two alien brothers are hurtling to the earth in their spaceship into a world full of unsuspecting humans. But don’t walk away thinking you know where the story is going just yet! The alien brothers are on a mission to find a human from earth, but not an ordinary human.
This human seems a little less than ordinary. Other than being on a simple schedule of waking up and going to work, Constance spends a lot of her time at home only imagining what it would be like to live something “out of this world”. Well, this imaginative female gets her wish.
After coming home from an unexplained sickness, Constance awakes to her next day at work where her life starts to change. She meets a gentleman and his younger brother at work. It seems normal at first, seeing how she is used to a variety of different customers, she thinks nothing of it. It is after work when she is kidnapped by one of the alien brothers.
Constance is unsure why someone like her has been taken for an unexplained reason and singles down the fact that she isn’t going to be killed. The younger brother stops the car out in the middle of nowhere, in the country with cornfields on either side of the road. He meets up with his older brother and is soon asked a mysterious question. She later finds out both of the guys are aliens and they explain to her why she was taken.
Constance has to go through her own struggles to leave everything she’s ever known behind to join the brothers on a quest to save their dying race. Together they visit new planets, new ways of life, and different live styles. But not everything is all fun and adventure. The alien brothers are constantly running and hiding from a race of aliens, known as the Morgandaz, that have committed genocide on the brothers and their race.
The brothers were lucky enough to save Constance from the cruel Morgandaz aliens, but not before facing many failed attempts prior to saving Constance—and even after. Time and time again the Morgandaz get to the scene before the brothers and kill everyone in their way.
The story goes into detail, telling more about the brothers’ mission and how their lives have changed because of it. Constance has to find a way to get along with the aliens and this different existence. They meet more aliens along the way and they all have their stories to tell.
See how things turn out on their adventure. It’s a quick read that makes you want to know more. It’s a story in progress that leaves you on the edge of your seat. Come check it out!
