Milk - Comments

I really liked Milk when I read it awhile back, as I found the subject matter interesting & any Ryden from Dru always impresses me. I must say, though, that I'm disgusted by people who've attempted to make Dru feel bad about her work. I definitely commend her for pulling this off so artfully & for handling the criticism well. But bashing, as Audrey says, is never allowed & it needs to stop.

To the writer of the article: I really liked this review of the story. It's clear that you went into reading it with an open mind & you grasp that this isn't a grotesque story, sick, or any of that. Your review is (as others have said) very mature & I hope that it enlightens others who've done as mentioned above.

While I cannot speak for the author, I can tell you why I've read it and would recommend it to certain people. Milk is a wonderfully written fanfiction that captures BDSM in a truly amazing and beautiful way. It captures and portrays the deep amount of trust and love these relationships require. Dru did wonderfully at her portrayal of it as she always does. I would recommend the story to someone if I knew they didn't mind the elements the story features. I for one am happy to see an author on Mibba who can touch the subject of BDSM and portray it in an accurate and good way like Dru does. If you're not into BDSM, then that's fine. It's a subject that's not appealing to everyone and it's understandable how someone wouldn't be into something like this. However, there's no need to outright insult people who do enjoy the subject.

Try looking at it from another perspective, you might surprise yourself.

More towards the article: I've read Milk and I really liked it. I'm not really into the fandoms Dru writes in, but I always seem to like her stories when she writes some because she's such an excellent writer. She's one of the best I've come across on Mibba.

People have different tastes.

I'm actually pleased to see a mature view taken on Milk, as I've read it multiple times and each time I'm shocked by how well Dru can handle such a subject and how well-written it is.

This article was written well. I can see why people would think any positive review to this piece of fiction would be strange, but it gave good points to the work.

Nicely written article. I read Milk though I'm not into any BDSM or stuff like that. I read it because it's by Dru and I love her writing. It wasn't bad at all if you give it a chance and read it with an open mind like I did.
