“Her collection began to grow, slowly but surely, at an increasing rate, until she had at least one or two new pictures every day.”

Love Through a Lens is a great story to help readers get into the mood for Mibba’s theme of the month for September: photography.

Love Through a Lens is a new take on an old tale. It tells the story of Valerie, a young girl who lives vicariously through her camera. When Valerie discovers photography, she begins hiding behind her camera, creating a barrier between her and the world. One day, her lens focuses in on K.C., an aesthetically gifted boy at her school, and from that moment on, she can’t pull her camera away. There are many things standing in the way of Valerie and K.C., but none of them change how she feels. She tries to get a hold on her emotions, but every photograph pulls her feelings further out of her control.

the woman.’s writing style is simple, yet brilliant. The description is flourished, but not overdone, and the overall emotion of the story flows with her words. Valerie’s story really couldn’t be written in a better way. The chapters are fairly short, which I find easier to read than longer chapters. This on-going story is a great read for anyone who is a fan of good, original fiction, and I recommend it to anyone who has ever experienced unrequited love.
