Flowing Stories and the Minds Behind Them

Mibba seems to be where most writers come to really show their stuff. And trust me when I tell you that some authors really go 187 degrees, so much so that you can hardly correlate their tales with them a few years later.

Now, I know it can be dangerous picking favourites, but I have one, and she's been my favourite for several years now. The Authoress is one author that has changed and brightened in ways that I could never imagine.

Her past stories, on different sites and places, have left me hungry for bread and butter, and utterly wishing to just move to Paris and sit in a cafe for the remainder of the month, at least. Her "episodes" as she liked to term them throughout her teen years were the highlight of my days as I watched four characters embark on hilarious adventures from the imaginary lands of Upendi to the tips of the Egyptian pyramids. Now, she has brought a cultural flavour to her stories, kneeding them with love and description, and placing them so very carefully in the Story section of Mibba.

Interestingly, she does bring forth a few of her past tales, and the writing style is incredibly different. It's clear that her writing has improved.

One story that she has here on Mibba is Dance of the Peacocks, I recommend it. The dialogue is meaningful, the character is relatable, and the events of the story are amazingly unique. Do not pass it up, it is worth the new experience.

Another story of hers, A Whisper in Time is filled with interesting characters and details. A university student named Dania who really seems to be stuck with courses and homework, while at the same time, relishing the little details of her life and making it fun to follow along. My favourite character is Dania's grandmother, Dado. She is quite the character, dropping fascinating mysterious left and right, and the reader might be inclined to grab a magnifying glass to try and figure her out.

Where many stories lack maturity or crunch on cliches until your jaw aches, these tales are refreshing. Flowing with thoughts and ideas that just brush the mind with a different paint. Streaming through a different culture and pulling the reader's arm along. Rippling past the structures of normal stories and bringing readers to a perspective that just splashes them with interest.
