Anyone who has been in a relationship knows that romance can sometimes not live up to all that it’s cracked up to be. There are fights over anything and everything. There are small little arguments that push people away. Then there are grand fights that tear couples apart. Every couple goes through rough patches, but it is how they deal with them that make or break a relationship. TJ and Emma Oshie don’t handle these rough patches very well.

Pride is a hockey fanfiction following St. Louis Blues player TJ Oshie and his wife, Emma, and is the perfect example of a romantic drama. The fights, although sometimes small, bring the story together and allows the reader a glimpse into TJ and Emma’s relationship. The couple’s secrets were the elements that had this story exceed expectations. Pride doesn't paint the picture of a perfect couple, and instead lays the story in reality, where not everything ends on a happy note.

Pride is finished at just four chapters, but has a very active sequel, Dark Paradise. Anyone who is a fan of TJ Oshie will enjoy this series, and I recommend it to anyone who enjoys reading romantic dramas.
