MM Reviews: Land of the Lost

Title: Land of the Lost
Author: Wanderlust King
Type: Fan-Fiction
Genre: Romance | Drama | Adventure
Rating: PG-13

When most people think of the Hunger Games series, their thoughts immediately go to Katniss or sometimes even Peeta. Those who were a part of “Team Gale” will probably first think of the dark-haired boy. No matter what team you’re on, if any at all, your first thought probably wasn’t of Johanna or Finnick, two of the book’s minor characters.

Land of the Lost takes these sometimes forgotten characters and gives them a whole new story. The story begins in District 13 - the long forgotten District of Panem - and follows Johanna’s younger sister as she does everything in her power to save the older girl from the torture of the Capitol.

Land of the Lost stays true to most of the timeline and events in the second and third books of the Hunger Games series. Though a new character has been added, readers will find that this fanfiction has a plot that goes side by side with the original trilogy, taking it from good to great. Any story that can interweave facts from the fandom and fiction created by the new writer as seamlessly as is done in Land of the Lost gets massive bonus points.

I highly recommend this story to anyone who is a fan of the Hunger Games trilogy!
