In modern day, people have long since lost faith in the Gods of Olympus, ditching their deities for technology, turning them into nothing but stories. This lack of belief has a drastic effect on Mount Olympus - it is slowly deteriorating right in front of the Gods' eyes. Their castle is crumbling, their plants are dying and even the Gods and Goddesses seem to have aged.

However, one thing that has not died in the world of the Greek Gods: treachery and betrayal.

Our story begins when Dolos, a spirit of deception and treachery who betrays the God he works under, Hermes. He surrounds and stabs him, tossing him from Olympus to take his form and assume his ruling position. However, one thing that Dolos did not count on is the possibility that Hermes could have survived.

Back on the mortal plain, a mysterious man is found by the beautiful Evan. She first comes across him after hearing a loud thud in the middle of the night. She ventures outside of the Inn that she owns and operates, only to find the fallen God all bloodied and bruised. At first she doesn't know what to make of this; she has never seen anything quite like this. Things become even more confusing for her when he awakens with no memory of his life, save for his name; Scott Clarke. Scott remembers absolutely nothing of his past, but with Evan's help he hopes to piece his life back together.

Walls of Glass is a great work that combines both the hardships of daily life (through the struggles conveyed in Evan's life) and the mythical world told through the betrayal of the messenger God. Archipelago. has utilized her obvious natural skills of imagination and description to create such a vivid and wonderful tale. Her ability to write realistic characters and situations blends perfectly in such a fiction as this. If you haven't read it yet, you're missing out!
