This song seemed to be full of emotions and not the terrifying kind either. It seemed to be full of magic for some reason. A gentle, soothing melody flew from the band and the looks on all of their faces seemed to paint the perfect picture. To everyone else Peter was the main attraction, but to me, Phil stood out more.

The 1970’s was a magical decade, filled with good music, good people, and good times. It was a time unlike any other, and the people who were lucky enough to live during that era have some of the most amazing stories to tell. Whether the stories tell of adventures at Woodstock during ’69 or goings-on in the smoky bars of London, they are sure to have that certain air of magic that the 70’s seemed to carry. They are sure to be unlike any other.

Blooming Ties tells the story of young Hina, a beautiful girl living in London during 1970, and her adventures with the British band, Genesis. When she first happens upon Phil Collins, an old classmate, she doesn’t have much knowledge of Genesis, but as she listens to them perform, she is pleased to find that their music speaks to her, and is that music that sends her on the adventure of a lifetime. She quickly grows close to the members of the band, especially Phil, whom she is undoubtedly drawn to.

Blooming Ties is an amazing fan fiction still in the making. While Blooming Ties is primarily a romance, it has many other elements to it, including the interesting era it is set in. Even readers who don’t have any knowledge of the band, Genesis, can appreciate the unique pieces that make up Blooming Ties.

I highly recommend this story to anyone who loves a little romance and enjoys learning a thing or two about an era they weren’t able to experience themselves.
