MM Reviews: Fear Itself

Title: Fear Itself
Type: Original Fiction
Genre: Drama | Action | War
Rating: R

It's 2057 London, and the brief glance we get into this new world during the first chapter of Fear Itself is nothing compared to what is to come in the emotional journey ahead. There's a broadcast following the first chapter that speaks to the reader as if they're a citizen of the time, illuminating just one of the ways that popular mechanics. immerses the reader into the lives of her characters as well as the world that they live in; a dystopian society that remains a mystery for both us and the main character, Thalia Giroux, a naïve, overprotected girl who we learn has been confined to her house her entire life.

After the introduction of the rebellious Alex, Thalia suddenly gets this chance to explore the outside world that has remained an exciting mystery for many years. It's during this time that she realises that not everything is quite like what she thought it would be, and as the chapters progress, we're able to witness her development as a character through the influence of other characters, her association with The Brotherhood and the situations that she finds herself getting in to constantly.

Fear Itself takes the reader on an utterly beautiful journey – a journey that transforms a young girl into a courageous woman with the help of strangely welcoming people whom she encounters with the help of Alex. There are times when we just have to laugh at the hilarity of a situation or a witty comeback from Thalia, but there're also many moments that tug at your heartstrings and are sure to spring a few tears to your eyes. But no matter what emotion popular mechanics. draws from the reader, it will remain the character of Thalia that truly leaves a lasting impression.

There's nothing that one could feel but love for this story, from the very first chapter until the very last paragraph. With one hundred and thirty chapters, Fear Itself is an incredible read, both in regards to its content and length. Don't let the amount of chapters deter you from the story though! Just a few chapters is enough to hook a reader, and once you're hooked the chapters just seem to fly right by as events unfold one after another – all leading up to an ending that is almost perfect in every way.
