I loved you.

With so few words making such a strong impact it is difficult to summarize this succinct story without giving too much of it away. It is simply best described as the heart breaking conversation between the main character and a boy who doesn’t have anything else to say.

WishingOnDeadStars makes a difficult thing seem almost effortless. With every word carefully placed, and given profound meaning, she manages to create a scene that carries the obvious mark of craftsmanship in just one hundred and fourteen profound words.

One of the hardest things to do as a writer is to try and capture characters in moments of extreme emotion. If there’s too much, or too little, the emotion falls flat, but Screaming Silence has hit the golden ratio, and found the perfect balance between overdone and underdeveloped. It is a story that doesn’t pull any punches, and is guaranteed to hit every reader right in a sensitive and vulnerable place.

On a more emotional level Screaming Silence gives a voice to a fear that everyone seems to carry around inside them, that one day we will all be in the position where we have so much to say to someone who can no longer listen.
