MM Reviews: Little Time Left

Type: Fan Fiction
Rating: PG-13

Many stories like using the idea of an apocalypse breaking out to serve as a backdrop to their characters' lives. While zombies are the most popular form of apocalyptic cause, sometimes people will branch out and go down the more medical route, where a scientist has concocted a secret serum that produces a national disaster and either makes people infected and the infection contagious or making the original receiver of the serum into what's effectively a zombie.

Little Time Left is Jack's recollection of what life was like when Alex, his love, was still alive. Touching and emotional, the four chapters and prologue that currently comprise the story details what it was like knowing that the person he loved was slowly dying from a virus that there was no cure for. The desperation that each man emits it enough to prepare the reader for the inevitable heartbreak that is sure to come.

jaseyslullabies has done such a fantastic job so far with being able to engage the reader and allow the feelings of both characters to be conveyed brilliantly throughout the words she's used. Although the story might be a fan-fiction, the chemistry between Jack and Alex is enough to allow those who aren't familiar with the fandom an insight into how much they mean to each other.

With more still to come, Little Time Left is a story to follow right until the end if you're prepared for the sadness that is sure to come.

Special thanks to sheepcat; and Norman Reedus for editing.
