MM Reviews: Diamonds and Nicotine
Those are the few lines that greet the readers as soon as they see the summary page of Diamonds and Nicotine. Simple, yet very captivating. That was my first thought when I clicked on the story page. The layout drew me right into the mood from the beginning.
The first chapter brought the readers straight into the action without beating around the bush. From the first three words in the first line, it describes the City of Lights, Paris. Then, the scene unfolds on how Noir was chased and then got caught. Each word was weaved carefully, forming sentences that just pulled the readers to read further and get lost in the story.
As I read more, I became curious to know about Noir and her work as a professional thief and the job offered to her. The next thing I knew, I had already reached the latest chapter! I was having trouble trying to come up with a review for this story because I was scared that I might end up letting out a spoiler or two and ruining the story for future readers.
The whole time I was reading Diamonds and Nicotine, I felt as if I was in a spy movie, an adventure, and it was easy to lose myself inside the world created by the author. The descriptions of the surrounding and the characters were flawless. It was detailed without being boring.
To those who love to read an action-filled story, Diamonds and Nicotine is definitely a must-read.
