Though there are many wonderfully written Harry Potter stories on the site, here is another one that sets itself apart from the rest. Unlovable, written by kim wonshik., is written through the eyes of Variel Helling, who, as the summary suggests, has been conceived by a love potion. However it is in her 6th year at Hogwarts where she discovers that the girl who couldn’t love now may be able to.

Unlovable is different to other Harry Potter fanfictions on this site, in the way that kim wonshik. has made it so her character’s plotline interweaves perfectly with the events of Harry Potter’s sixth year at Hogwarts. The transition between Variel and JK Rowling’s writings is very smooth and reads as though JK Rowling initially intended to write the character herself.

One of the most striking aspects of this story is that Variel is written as a bystander watching the events and contributing where necessary, as opposed to altering the events that happened in the books. kim wonshik. is able to make the story her own while keeping the story cohesive and consistent.

Though with only five chapters written so far, this is a story not to miss!
