MM Reviews: Confusion Is the Strongest Emotion

Type: Fan Fiction
Genre: Romance | Drama
Rating: R

Brendon is confused, Ryan doesn't know what he wants and they're in a band together. Something's bound to go awry when they don't know how to express themselves effectively.

There's something about dru is beautiful.'s way with writing that constantly makes her fanfiction feel as if they are original fiction, brought from deep within her mind and not at all influenced by the boys she writes about. Confusion Is the Strongest Emotion has that same feel.

Written about Brendon Urie and Ryan Ross - two members from Panic! at the Disco - and set back in the early days of them being in the band together, Confusion Is the Strongest Emotion tackles the frailty of a teenager's life. Set over the course of a year and a half, the story is comprised of only nine chapters, but each of them hold enough words and enough emotion to connect the reader with the characters, namely Brendon. His issues with his family, his struggle to keep up with school, and his uncertainty about what he's doing with his life afterwards can resonate deep within many readers, something which will surely heighten their involvement with the story.

For those who take offence at really lengthy chapters, do not fret as each chapter is separated into many different scenes, making the chapters and characters easier to follow. Though it might take a while to get through each chapter, dru is beautiful. has a way of making the reader become so absorbed that they don't notice the length until they reach the end of the chapter.

Confusion Is the Strongest Emotion is truly worth your time.
