Featured Story: Convulsion

Science fiction stories are often enthralling, even those found on Mibba. Worlds that involve aspects that aren't of our own is enough to draw in many readers; however, it's very hard to find this type of story that doesn't get swallowed up in the constantly moving story section of the site. Convulsion is a completed sci-fi story that includes creatures known as 'mongrels', introduced in the very first chapter. The author, Shamystrawberry, is here to tell you a bit more about her action-packed story.

Give us a brief summary of Convulsion.

Sandra is a merger trainee who has the ability to mentally merge and transform steel through distant contact and a second ability, other mergers don’t obtain, to perceive her enemies, mongrels. These half demon and human beings killed her parents, and she has sworn to help detain them.

Who's your least favourite character?

My least favorite character does not have a name, but she is described as the woman with the long blonde ponytail. She is arrogant and frigid. I just don’t like her.

What is the most challenging thing about writing it?

The most challenging thing about writing was finishing Convulsion. Many times I would stop because of writers block, or I would be deterred from writing. It took a lot of perseverance to complete it.

Roughly how long have you been working on Convulsion?

It took me six years to complete Convulsion.

How did you choose the title?

During the years I wrote Convulsion, the title changed various times. I finally decided the title should be called Convulsion. Convulsion is the initial transformation the mongrels struggle through to stay alive.

What inspired you to write this story?

I have always been intrigued about stories in which humans fight demons. I wanted to create my own story of demons and demon slayers, but I wanted people to be the demons to challenge my characters' morals.
