The cops described me as psychotic, insane, inhumane and other gruesome things. It was painful and rude. I knew I was disorganized and inexperienced but I was aroused.

I was motivated to kill.

There is something about the mind of a serial killer that can be intriguing and completely repulsive at the same time. Finding out why they are motivated to kill is a topic that can start endless conversations and debates, both in the world of psychology and simply in the mind of the everyday human. This notion that serial killers are driven by a compulsion that they cannot control is a fascinating area of the mind — terrifying, too.

When the murder of two people occurs in Jeffersontown, the police begin to try and do exactly that — they push and prod, attempting to get into the mind of the killer in order to catch them in the act. However, what they don’t realise is that they are entirely wrong — the assumptions they have about the killer are not entirely accurate. This allows the killer to slide under the radar undetected, free to wreak more havoc as the media attention around the murders grows.

The Dizygotic Killer is a story that gives the reader a chance to get inside the mind of the killer themselves. With the narrator being the criminal in this story, it offers a unique insight into the other side of a crime, the side that isn’t often written about. With a wonderfully dynamic narrator and a constant stream of thought allowing us into the very inner workings of a killer, dawn of light has done a magnificent job so far of creating an atmosphere of tense excitement through wonderful description.

With only two short chapters currently uploaded and more hopefully on the way, The Dizygotic Killer is a story that will have you begging for more!
