Mibba's 'Favorite Story Ever!' Contest

With many Mibbians in the midst of NaNoWriMo this month, the Mibba Magazine writing contest has decided to go in another direction this month. Instead of asking Mibbians to write a story/poem/article/review based around a given prompt, the Magazine's contest requests something much simpler: your favorite piece ever written.

In this month's Mibba's 'Favorite Story Ever!' Contest, the Mibba Magazine asks that Mibbians go through any work they've posted on Mibba (poem, story, article, or review) and chose their absolute favorite to submit it to our contest. This can be any piece you've written that you're proud of - whether it be because it was fun to write, you worked extra hard on it, it's your most popular... whatever.

The Mibba Book Challenge

Looking for something a little less competitive? Need a break from your NaNo story? Trying to get back into the blog-writing game? If you are, take a look at The Mibba Book Challenge.

The Mibba Book Challenge is a month-long writing challenge specifically for Mibba's blog section. In the first post of the thread, participants will find a list of daily prompts, all related to books, that they should write about. Participation is simple, each day you write a new blog post based on the day's prompt, and once you've posted your blog, you leave a link in the contest thread. At the end of the month, everyone who completed the challenge (all thirty blog posts) gets the prize - the opportunity to rec/pimp their favorite piece on MibbaMagazine.tumblr.

The challenge has already started so head on over to the thread ASAP and get started. And no worries about being a little late to the party. Participants are more than free to catch up on any prompts they miss by posting multiple blog posts a day. Just remember, you have to complete ALL prompts to gain the prize.
