Featured Poem of the Week: The Stars

The Stars is a beautiful poem written by the amazing ramonafrancis. How would you summarize The Stars?

Just pondering at a night sky filled with stars mixed with a tinge of sadness.

How did you choose the title for it?

I chose the title to be The Stars because that was the main object of the poem.

What inspired you to write this poem?

Late nights, wide awake, all alone. I was looking up at the night sky and saw how pretty the stars are. The mix of feelings inside of me and the beauty of the night inspired me to write it.

What was your favorite thing about writing The Stars?

Like with writing all poetry, my favorite thing about writing The Stars was the ability to get my feelings out in words and creating something I can be proud of that other people can enjoy.

When writing, do you have any rituals you follow?

I have no specific rituals because I don't sit down and tell myself I'm going to write. I feel something inside me that compels me to write, so I immediately get to it.

Is there anything you would like to say to anyone who reads your poem?

I appreciate everybody for reading and for commenting, and I sincerely hope they like it. Although I write for myself and not anybody else, it is still an amazing feeling to know that somebody connects with and enjoys the things I write, which was the main reason I created a Mibba account.

Do you have any other poems you think people would enjoy?

I have a few other poems posted on the website, many more that I plan on posting and hopefully many more that I will write. I can't choose one specific poem of mine to recommend, but if someone enjoys The Stars then I think all of my other poems would be a good shot to try out.
