Fan Fiction of the Week: Enchanted

Enchanted is a wonderful fan fiction that features Once Upon a Time's rendition of Peter Pan. In this edition of Fan Fiction of the Week, we take a closer look at this amazing story.

Give us a brief summary of Enchanted.

Enchanted is a love story involving Peter Pan and Emma and Killian’s daughter.

What inspired you to write Enchanted?

As a kid Peter Pan was one of my favorite characters and I got thinking if I had a fairy tale prince I figured it would have been him. So I decide to write the story. Making them like the next generation Snow and Charming. That was my idea anyway.

How long have you been working on this story?

I’ve had the idea for a long time and started another version of the story a while back but it didn’t pan out, so I took another crack at it and it worked out. I couldn’t say how long I’ve worked on it. Probably a couple months.

What is your favorite thing about writing Enchanted?

Getting to write a love story involving Peter Pan and getting to write about a love pure enough to cleanse even the darkest of hearts. I really liked being able to write something like that.

What is the most challenging thing about writing it?

Probably worrying about if the chapter was any good. I’m always second guessing myself with my chapters and if I should post them or not.

Have you ever experienced writer's block with this story? If so, how did you overcome it?

I normally get writers block mid story, but YouTube videos about Peter Pan really helped me through all that stuff. Just watching them inspired me to write more and pushed me forward. So that was a big help.

Do you write with an outline, or just wing it?

I wing it, every time. I find that if I plan things out too much and get too detailed I lose track of the heart of the story. So I just go in with an idea in my head and wing it.

Do you have any pre/post writing rituals?

Music, I write to music all the time. So if I have an intense scene I normally listen to something intense. If I have a softer scene then I quickly switch the song. Playlists help a lot because I’m always changing songs and having to stop writing to do it.

Is there anything you would like to say to your readers?

Just a big Thank You! From the bottom of my heart.

Special thanks to silent hearts. and Goddess_Of_Muse for editing!
