Writing With SincerelyHannah

SincerelyHannah is a wonderful writer who found her niche in the world of fan fiction. Her more recent stories are primarily One Direction fan fictions, but her older stories featured other celebrities, beginning with the early 2000's band The Jonas Brothers.

"I've always been a bit of a day dreamer, so writing is a way for me to sort of contain that. I love being able to escape into a separate world where I can focus on someone else's problems rather than my own for a while. I once described it as playing "house" (that game you used to play as a kid where you would pretend to be an adult and have your own house and kids and husband), but for adults. I love that aspect of it and the creative release it gives me." - Hannah

Her small, but excellent selection of stories on Mibba make Hannah a great writer to follow. Her stories have interesting plots and her characters are very relatable on a deep and superficial level.

"On Broken Things is a story that I'm really excited about, especially where I'm taking the plot. I've never written anything that could be considered "classic fanfic", so it's been really nice to explore a plot that isn't necessarily complicated, but has complicated characters. I think it's really the character development that pushes that one along and makes it interesting, and I'm really proud of what it has become.

Hearts Like Ours was the first fanfic I wrote in five years. It was something I had been toying around with in my mind a lot and I've always liked the idea that you can fall for someone without ever having to see them in person. I liked that Harry got to know Charlie on a really personal level before they ever even met. In all honesty, I didn't originally have plans for them to meet, or if I did, I would have ended it with him first seeing her. After a while, I realized that while that might have been a creative ending, I wouldn't be doing my readers justice, nor my characters." - Hannah

Hannah had a long journey that led her to Mibba but after all that, she is a writer that is here to stay.

“I actually began my writing with Jonas Brothers fanfics back in 2006, when the website first started. I took a five year hiatus from writing and when I started Broken Things, my friend Clarizze talked me into joining again. It's been so interesting to see the changes in format, as well as the changes in community. I feel like such a dinosaur sometimes trying to remember how to do certain things, but Mibba has always sort of felt like home to me and it's nice to be back.” - Hannah
