Featured: Mibba's "Good Deeds" Contest Winners

July was a whirlwind of activity with the Mibba Magazine kicking back into action. Along with the Magazine came the return of the monthly Magazine contest! To tie in with the theme of some of the other site activities, July's contest was all about positivity! This month, users that entered were asked to write a story or poem that showed a positive event in someone’s life, whether it be a wedding, a friendship or just a small deed that made them feel warm inside.

As usual, Mibbians from across the site stepped up to the plate and offered up their stories of good deeds and positivity. The month is up, and the winners have been announced!

This month’s first place winner is kim wonshik., with her wonderful entry, My One Good Deed. For Lacy Rivers, life has taken a dramatic drop in quality and she finds herself kicked out onto the curb, quite literally, without anybody to fight in her corner. That is until a blonde-haired man named Peter comes to her aid. This piece brings across a beautiful message — that good deeds only take a few seconds, but can change your life forever. The beautiful prose used in this piece will make you fall in love with the characters in a heartbeat.

southpaw is this month’s runner-up, with her story The Old City Café. Life working in a local café can be hectic, and no one knows this better than Summer. However, one strange customer is about to make her day a whole lot easier. The wonderfully light way in which this piece is written will have you imaging every second in vivid technicolour.

As always, the quality of the entries submitted was great, and you can read all of the entries that were submitted in the contest thread. Well done to our first and second place winners, and a massive thank you to everybody who entered!

Special thanks to losing control. and sindie synclayre for editing.
