What better way to end the year than with a contest that is relevant all year round? That's right, it's a Song Contest!

ZackyEffingVengeance has complied a list of songs that she feels would inspire a good story and is tasking users to find one that calls out to them for their entry. For those who look at the list and don't find one that they're all too familiar with, the host is accepting to a participant's own song choice as long as they list it in their post! Isn't that nice?

So, for all those who have time on their hands in the lead up to Christmas and always love a bit of musical cheer, why not check this contest out?

Seasonal Songfic Contest

Here is yet another song contest but this one has a theme - Christmas! That's right, americancandy. has decided that those festive songs that we all love (or love to hate) will prove to be inspiration for users who choose to celebrate the holidays and enter her contest!

The Seasonal Songfic Contest has included the more traditional songs, such as "Do They Know It's Christmas?" by Band Aid, for those who love the old feel-good songs, as well as newer songs or song versions, such as "Oh, Ms. Believer" by TwentyOne Pilots, for all those who prefer songs a little newer. Whichever is preferred, participants are sure to find a song that tickles their fancy and inspires a truly festive story.
