Featured Contests

Let's have a look at this week's contests!

Picture + Lyrics Contest

Lyrics and pictures are two things that are often used as inspiration when it comes to both stories and contest ideas. losing control has decided to take both of them and base her contest around them! Charging users with the task of creating a story inspired by both lyrics and a picture, her Picture + Lyrics contest is sure to appeal to those who like a bit of a challenge. After all, the two prompts might not match up and the users will then have to be able to weave them together in order to develop a story idea.

All that users have to do is comment their interest in joining on the thread and the host will pop them a message with their two prompts. It's as simple as that!

Guilty Until Proven Innocent

There's something fascinating about criminals that makes shows like Criminal Minds immensely popular. It could possibly be that their mindsets are truly intriguing given that something triggered them to start killing people or stealing things, or it could even be the fact that the criminals look like everyday people - there is nothing strange about them. Nothing in their appearance could give away the fact that they're a cold-blooded criminal.

The Guilty Until Proven Innocent contest appeals to those people. dawn of light is hosting a contest where the topic is plain and simple - write an entry that has a focus on crime. That's it! If you wish to write about a prisoner who stands trial for a crime they didn't commit, that's fine! Want to write about a brutal serial killer? Perfectly acceptable! The assailant getting caught by police? Sure, if that tickles your fancy!

Pretty much anything can be written about so come check this contest out!
