If history is your thing, aubs's revived contest is sure to pique your interest! Her Historical Fiction Contest has a list of time periods and their corresponding countries that users must choose from and write their entries in! The periods span a vast amount of time, with the very first one being Ancient China and the most recent being the sixties in America. With such a wide range, there's sure to be one that captures your interest. If not, the host is open to adding a new time period that a participant requests. So don't dawdle!

Villains Have Stories Too
We all know the villains. The Mistress of all Evil who cursed a newborn girl, Mother Gothel who kept Rapunzel locked in a tower, and the Evil Queen who tried to kill her step-daughter in order to be the fairest in the land. But what about their stories? What made the Evil Queen so obsessed with her looks? Why did Maleficent curse an innocent baby? Why did Cinderella's stepmother hate her so much?
Villains Have Stories Too tasks users to write those stories. Get creative and focus on these fairytale villains instead of the heroines we're so accustomed to. With a list that contains a variety of villains, participants get the chance to choose their favourite and write an entry about. If there's one that isn't on the list, that can be solved by simply commenting about them and captain solo. is more than likely to accept it. Problem solved!
