Featured Contests

Let's have a look at this week's contests!

The Genre Prompt Contest

There are quite a few genres that Mibba allows stories to be tagged under, such as fantasy, drama, teen, and even autobiography. Some people stay within the same few genres that they're familiar with, which is absolutely fine, while others tend to branch out into many different ones. However, regardless as to whether or not a user sticks to the same genres, most get an idea and then know straight away what genre their story will be under. raja sahara is asking users to pick either one, two or three genres from the Mibba list provided and let her know so that she can then send them a prompt for each genre that their entry has to be based around. Her idea has it so that users have the knowledge of what genres they want their story to be under, but don't quite know under what circumstances it will be.

The Genre Prompt Contest is perfect for people who wish to write in a genre they're not quite familiar with, especially as the host will be providing them with a prompt rather than leaving them to think up everything themselves. Likewise, it's a great chance for users to write under their regular genres with the possibility of writing something extremely different to their norm.

Maybe you want to write a romantic, religious adventure but have no idea where to begin. This contest will be the perfect stepping stone to make that fiction come to life!

Everything is Blue

Crime seems to be gaining a huge fanbase - both in the media and on Mibba. There have been many crime shows that have come to life in the past few years and also a fair variety of fics on the site that have centred around either criminals or the people investigating the acts of crime. PhoebeBuffay's Everything is Blue contest is focusing not just on crime, but also thriller and horror that can easily accompany that genre. Users are free to pick all three of the genres or just their favourite one to write their entry centred around.
