Featured Contests

Let's have a look at this week's contests!

The Milk and Honey Contest

Not everyone can write poetry. A person could be brilliant at writing prose but the moment they turn to poetry, their writing takes a turn for the worst. But just because they cannot write poetry doesn't mean they can't appreciate the beauty and complexity of it. The Milk and Honey Contest is being hosted by swell, and asks participants to look through a list of poems and choose one to get inspired by. They can either choose to write a poem based on it or a story.

The poetry in question is by Rupi Kaur, author of the Milk and Honey book collection, where some of the more prominent themes are those of femininity, love and abuse. As only two people can have the same poem, it'd be best to join quickly.

The Dino Sci-fi Contest

Dinosaurs always fascinate. Creatures that were extinct long before we could meet them undoubtedly draw more interest. The Jurassic Park films grew people's love for these huge, uncontrollable creatures, and even now, with the consequences of bringing dinosaurs back to life on the screen, many wouldn't hesitate to bring them into this world.

The Dino Sci-fi Contest is for those who very much enjoy the prospect of dinosaurs being alive, regardless of whether they're in this world or not. It doesn't matter how they're alive or which dinosaurs are featured, just so long as the main focus of the entry is about them, that's all universe. cares about.
