  • Your comments. They always make me smile from ear to ear, because you're probably the ONLY person that gets the picture I'm trying to paint most of the time. And sometimes, I don't even know I did something until you compliment it and then I'm like "oh, wow, that was an awesome accident!"

Also, the Alex G referred to is Alex Grieco. Guitar tech. :D

  • Here's hot the shots went:
Shot 1 - Aimless warning shot
    Shot 2 - Pete
    Shot 3 - Jocelyn
Shot 4 - Barista (this will be talked about in the 4th - she was just grazed)
    Shot 5 - Waiter
    Shot 6 - Himself

And you are incredibly too perceptive! You're...you're not allowed to guess anymore. About anything. Ever! *pokes you in the eye with a hot french fry* Stooooooooop iiiiiiiiiiiiiit!

  • You don't know who Jet Li is?! He's my favourite Chinese actor. He's been in some of the best action movies I've ever seen. I love him so much.

I always imagine Alessandria and Ilaria's parents as being really...pompous, I guess. And pompous people always seem to want their children to have these unique, exotic names. (The true origins of their names, however: Alessandria was the closest I could get to my name without being too obvious, and Ilaria was named for a singer I really like, Ilaria Graziano.)

I have actually strongly considered writing a future-fic at some point, when Dacian is in high school or college or something, just sort of looking back on his mother's relationship with the man that would become his father. I'm still mulling it over, though, because I'm not really sure yet what the plot would be.

And yeah...Chapter 4...there has definitely been some flipping out. And crying. And people telling me they hate me (but in a good way). *sigh* I can't wait to hear what you have to say about it, though! <3

  • I'm going to reply to your comments in regard to Mrs. Moore.

I didn't really get the chance to expand Luya's character the way I would have liked, but I picture her as being this very old fashioned, very homey Asian woman. In a lot of Asian countries, words like "mama" and "grandma" are very casual, like something a friend would normally call a woman that was old enough to be either their mother or grandmother. So when she told Alex to call her "Mom," it was more of the Filipino side coming through.

As far as being concerned about Rennie's sexuality, I meant it as more of a general concern. You know I'm extremely open-minded (I mean, I'm bisexual myself), but if I had a son or daughter who I suspected might be gay, I'd be a little concerned too. Not because I'm against homosexuality, but because that's something that my child would undoubtedly struggle with and maybe not necessarily talk to me about it.

Like I said, I didn't get to elaborate on Luya's character the way I would have liked, so I can understand that these things would be misleading to anyone that didn't live in my crazy brain. <3

  • “I’m NOT a groupie, I just happen to find guitar players extremely sexy. And drummers. And bassists. And singers.” <---- I love this. Saw it on the "In Love With Love" comments and I feel it appeals to my avid love of musicians in general. Thought I'd let you know :)

  • *blush* Yeah, I'm sort of obsessed with the sounds people make. They're just so...intoxicating, to me. Ooh, intoxicating. That's a good word! Anyway, yeah, I let those little pieces of myself slip into every character, because I like to think that every person--whether consciously or not--gets empowered by the sounds they can make another person make.

Also, I have read that story and I LOVE IT! I go back and re-read it ever few months, because teenage!Patrick is just so adorable and smoldering. *drool*

  • I'm only going to make a couple of replies. I'm not going to reply to everything I want to, because you're freakishly good at predicting my plot points, so I don't want to give anything away, lol.

Point 1 - "Mahal ko kayo," is Tagalog for "I love you." Grace's mommy is from the Phillipines, remember? ...I probably spelled Philipines wrong, because I'm an awful speller, which brings us to:

Point 2 - I KNEW I spelled busses wrong. Everytime I write it, I have to think "is it busses or buses?" And I always get it wrong!

Point 3 - This TOTALLY needs to be the new tagline to this story: "...she could be so bitter after all that she’s gone through. Yet, she still firmly believes in the true love at first sight and says that her medicine is poopy flavored." *dies laughing* It's so true!

Point 4 - I think I know why that "man who was half of who I was" line bugged you, because it bugged me too. The words alone aren't very fluid--it's really short and jerky--and it also sort of makes her dad sound like a husband or boyfriend or something. I actually meant to edit that line, but I forgot.

Point 5 - I <3 you! And I'm going to text you here in about...two or three hours for that Dirty Work story! Does it have to do with Alex Lipshaw?! :3

  • *is in tears* Those were the best comments ever. You're so good to me, Sarah-bear. If everybody gave feedback the way you do, I would have never stopped writing in the first place.
*huggles the life out of you*

By the way, I'd totally launch a whole pineapple at someone's head for you, too! <3^10

  • I actually used to babysit for a Scottish family (Scottish as in FROM Scotland, lol) and their son's name was Dacian, and their daughter's name was Caitir. Caitir was the name of a character in Dedication. :D I really liked that family, and I was sad when they moved to a different state. Dacian was...well, he was a lot like how Alessandria's Dacian is, actually.

  • Is it really? OMG I didn't know that! *facepalm* Wow, that is a scary coincidence, lol.

  • You might send it to me again, just in case. I clear my inbox out pretty often, because I get a lot of messages. But yeah, send it there and remind me when you leave for boarding school, and I e-mail you chapter updates! <3

  • Okay, I had this thought! Since you are going to boarding school and won't be able to read anymore...what if I, like, mailed chapters to you? Like paper mail? Or even e-mail, if they let you get e-mail?

Thanks for your two cents. I'll hopefully have things running up to par soon, since Wear Us Like A Locket is mostly all pre-written. Talk to ya later.
