Haha, I thought it was just because I'm old and my eyesight is bad. The problem with the story isn't in the story itself, but in the layout.

The font you used, although aesthetically pleasing in thought, is almost impossible to read. You need to either increase the size to at least 12 or 14 if you wish to keep that cursive, hand-writing style.
To be honest, my personal recommendation would be to keep that font for perhaps the Chapter titles, and use regular fonts for the bulk of the text. The problem with serif-style fonts like that is the curls and twirls make it difficult to read in large blocks. Arial is the default, I believe, but Times New Roman is the easiest to read, despite the general idea that it's pretty boring. I understand, but you want to keep your story and its plot as the main focus, right? You can explore with the layout, but try to keep the actual writing simple so people can read it.

Hey, I was interested in reading your Liquor and Love Lost story, but it was absolutely illegible. Maybe I'm jsut old, or my eyes are going, but I just thought I'd let you know. I'd love to still read it if given a chance, which is why I didn't report it (what with the new rules and all). Just giving you an FYI.
