A note

I got admitted to hospital with suspected swine flu last week. Fortunately the swabs came back negative but as it turns out I do have a severe water infection. This makes my temperature fluctuate and affects blood pressure and pulse. It also has the added bonus of migraines and being suddenly and violently ill.Nice.I am on antibiotics now and things should be better in a few days and all clear in...

Kerrang Relentless tour hits Oxford

Wow, what a night I had. It all started on arrival when we headed for a Burger to have a band member (don’t ask what band, I have no clue!) with a bodyguard also wanting a burger… I get mine and cram it in my face like I haven’t eaten in days… sauce everywhere, you get the picture… and then this guy turns to me, smiles, and says, ‘How are you? You going to the gig?’I reply…...

End of an era...

Why would that be then? You read my profile lately? If so you will know all about the new me that is being born.I am a throwback to the start of my writing. My Chemical Romance was not the start for me writing wise. You see, at school I was known by the English department as the girl who wrote those 'little stories'. They always admired my writing and empathy skills and my teachers all encouraged...

Random thinking

Hey all,OK I have like major block with Somewhere I Belong so just thought that I'd put something here just to fo something other than stare at a blank screen for a while... so... hmm...Welcome to my life I guess!Today I got up early and spent two and a half hours booking for Glastonbury 2009 using their new deposit scheme. I got my tickets so... woo! Exhausted now which is maybe another reason...

RIP - Claire Naylor

So I get ann e-mail (landed in my trash, nice!) to tell me that Claire passed away in her sleep on Sunday from one of her carers. They think it was peaceful but she didn't have night care so they can't be sure. I hope it was, she had high blood sugar so probably did fall asleep. Now Claire was a friend of a friend who hooked into me at Download 2007. (Ironic she died during Download 08 really) From...

Advice?

OK so my stories are not following guidelines because of dialouge punctuation but I am doing what I was taught at school. I have been give websites that 'explain' the rule only they might as well be written in Japanese!I am 30 (Old, yeah, get over it) and my teaching was simple. Start a dialouge with a capital letter and end on a period. Tags also start with a capital. Now, I am not sure when the...

Sorry friends

OK, this one goes out to the ones I love which are my readersThe apology is a simple sorry for not updating this weekend and the reason is this... I simply feel unmotivated and uninspired to do so.I think this is because of the comment thing. I mean, I started two new stories this week and one got two comments and the other one is a joint effort and it got none at all. Where is the encouragement...

So comments don't count as post counts?

Why should that make any difference on whether you enjoy a story or the writing? Since when did Mibba become a popularity contest? Oh, I have more posts than you so I am better... um... no! Last time I checked Mibba was a place to write/read stories not a place where forum popularity was important. As a writer I appreciate any form of feedback, positive or negative. A good comment will brighten a...

Mindless Self Indulgence last night

Mindless Self Indulgence - BirminghamEver had one of those days when everything that can go wrong does? Yeah? Imagine having one of those on the day of a gig you have been looking forward to since you got the tickets. I'll tell you something for nothing, it means that when you finally arrive you do so stressed! So, what did we not need when we got there? A security woman insistant that we can't use...

Muse/Futurheads last night

We got there, surpringly easily considering it was Central London on a Saturday and parked in the pouring rain. Dad was like, 'I'll get the wheelchair out, you put your coat on.' Now, this is 6.30pm and the doors don't open until 6.45pm. 15 minutes in the cold rain... good plan dad! Fortunatly a bloke took pity and let us in to be directed to a bar. Some others were inside and I am guessing they...

30 seconds of adveture

Um... well... OK, 2 days...Saturday 2 February 2008 - BirminghamDay started at the usual time but we set off at about 3. So we get there and go into the forbidden car park (It is the only one my car will go in but we had been told a categorical no by the venue) Security are found who remembered me from being stuck before. They also said the car park had nothing to do with the venue so their no...

Linkin Park last night

I wont bore you all with the drama that went on before we left but I will say this. The address given of the arena (Bollero Square) doesn't exist... in fact it is in Lower Parliament Street so the sat nav was cofused for a bit. Where do these people get off making road names up like that?? Gawd!So we get there (eventually) and parked (In an actual space... shocked me too!) not to far away. We had...

Funeral for a friend in London last night

So me and Dad head off to London at about 3.00pm and arrive after an event free journey at 5.00pm. Once there I had a brainwave as we were near Shaftesbury Avenue and the Forbidden Planet store. I haven't been able to find issue 3 of Gerard's comic anywhere and where better to find it than at the place I got 1 and 2? So in I go and instantly lose my bearings and go the wrong way to the lift....

Taste Of Chaos - Brixton (28 Nov)

It's taken forever to write this up, sorry!!Right, me and a carer (Ruth) set off at 2pm, plenty of time. Then we go and get petrol and Ruth gets the petrol cap stuck to the car key (??) and spends an hour... yes, an HOUR... seperating them. So we are actually on the way by 3.30pm. Then we hit traffic, then roadworks and then more traffic, sigh. So, we are still north of the river at 5.30pm when...

Gerard Way signing in London - 14/11/07

On Tuesday my carers changed over and Susan drove down to London so we would be ready to join the queue in the morning. We did a dummy run to the store to see if they had come to their senses about tickets… but… no. People were queuing already… eep! We decided then it was an up by 5am day and get there as soon as we could. So, next day all bleary eyed there we were… still in the dark, ffs!...

Get Happy tour hits Brixton!! (22 Oct)

Right so off we head to get to Brixton where I aim to *not* bleed all over the floor!! First thing we do though is to get lost... d'oh!! We get there with minutes to spare and fly in to find some space on the platform. We had not been there long when the first band, Army Of Freshman, came on.First impression, how many of them are there? Seriously! Had 6 most of the tme but suddenly there were 2...

30STM concert yesterday

Day started badly as I woke up stupidly early like 'ding I am awake!' I tried and tried to go back to sleep as it would be a long day but, no luck. I got up around 8.30am having given up on sleep and set about geting ready. From then on it was just non stop disaster before we even left the house. I mean it all went wrong. It if could it did, that kind of morning. Tubes blocking, nose bleeds, sat...

Ray Toro's birthday

YEY, he is entering the 30s and he is so welcome in that club... *huggles*... If you hadn't guessed I have a soft spot for the guy so... hmm... yeah!I got him a present and got it backstage when the guys supported Muse. Unfortunatly nothing got said on stage so I don't know if he got it or not, boo! Just going to have to meet him and ask him... somehow...Any ideas?

All things this and that

Hmm, so I turned 30 today and have felt no major changes. I got the usual stuff and spent it with the usual people so... yeah... nothing has changed. Mind you, being on antibiotics has killed the desire to party so here I am online.I don't really want to write either, no inspiration there. Instead I am writing this with thoughts to see where it gets me.My carer handed in her notice the other day...
