Hello! I'm Abra. Yes, yes, I'm named after a pokémon. :P Or rather, I'm named after a character in the book "East of Eden" by John Steinbeck. I haven't read it. It sounds boring. v.v
Obviously, I am here because I love to write. I usually write poetry, and a lot of people seem to enjoy it, but whether or not you like it is up to you. lol. I also draw sometimes, and I like to sing loudly in the car. I am going to learn photography.
Some of my poems are from life experience, others are inspired by pictures that I see or other poems that I read. Most of the time they're from my own life, but lately more and more have been coming from other sources of inspiration. Which, to me, is a relief because it gives my topics more diversity instead of always just writing the same thing over and over again. Haha.
I love Pon and Zi--they're adorable pictures. I also love LIFE. I cannot get enough of it. I think there's a lot of beauty that people don't see, and I appreciate it. I had depression before and tried to kill myself, got sent to a hospital and am now fully recovered. Mostly because of one of my best friends, who totally changed my views on life. I went from thinking life sucks and taking everything for granted to loving life and thinking a lot of things are beautiful. I take a lot more out of everyday things now.
I like small dark spaces--especially if someone else is in there with me. They provoke good conversations, because you melt into the dark. They make you brave.
I like taking walks, I like the color yellow, I like the rain and the way the earth smells after a good storm. I like you, I like art. I like many things. Usually if you ask, I will like it.
I don't dislike much. But I do dislike intolerance, overly pushy religious people, cheaters, attention whores who cut to be noticed, tapeworms, ants, lice, and curling irons. Of course that's not everything, but it's a start.
