Some say that without art or literature, civilization would be corrupt. I agree fully with this statement....
Writing has been a passion of mine since I was in the midst of my elementary school years. Whenever I feel as if I need to take an immense break from life, I'll get lost in a book, where I may find an alternative universe, where characters and situations are metaphorical and fascinating. Writing I also tend to get lost in, finding myself forming fantastical words and captivating imagery. To me, writing is an escape, a thrilling form of therapy.
Beneath the writing-obsessed layer of my life, I enjoy other things. Music has definitely inspired and created a lot of writing that is formed within me. I'm pretty open-minded when it comes to music taste, however, it must have or symbolize some significance. Among my favourites are The Beatles (for they were poets with their music), The Moody Blues, Michael Buble, and Pink Floyd.
I'm very open-minded when it comes to books as well. I'll read anything from fantasy, science-fiction, romance, and even horror. One of my biggest infuences is Stephen King, the horrific-minded author of more than 50 novels. Some of my favourite books by him are The Shining, Rose Madder, and Misery.
I'm a pretty layed back person, and only tend to get tempered when really influenced to. I try to remain optimisstic in life, and to look at things in a perspective which sees every simple thing as beautiful. Life is too short for us to look at the negativity and flaws. It's extremley important to forget about our past regrets, and to move forward.
