Haha I definitely agree. If I can get out a year early, I don't see the point in staying another year.

I figured so, but it's still cool(: And good to meet you, too. And nothing really, other than any other high-schoolers life, ya know? What about you?

Hey I think there’s a statistic somewhere that states people ingest on average 20 or so bugs in their sleep per annum. Relatively disturbing thought. Anyway…TIS THE SEASON TO BE JOLLY, FRALALALALAAA!! Ah. Preseason. I actually forgot about the first game last night, which we won, by the way. Tyler Bozak had three points, so maybe there’s potential for him to be more than a fourth line duster this season comme Paul Bisonnette. I mean, we played the Sens, but still man… It’s hard not to become overexcited and misinterpret this small triumph as a foreshadow of bigger success to come, but gosh, I really hope this is the year we somehow weasel into the playoffs. Don’t stop believing, right? I guess my question for you is, how is the atmosphere over there in Van, transitioning from the last season of missed opportunities to now another fresh beginning? Does anyone still talk about last year’s cup final or joke about it, as we often do here, finding weak humour in our losing ways as a coping mechanism? On a happier note, I am supercalifragilisticexpialidociously excited for the return of hockey!!! I’ve got Oct 6th marked on my calendar.

I love IKEA’s concepts of cheap décor. And it’s simplistic, too, but in a quirky way. I’ve always admired European design in architecture, art, and fashion. A few of my friends went backpacking this past summer. So envious! OKAY. Fine. BC is a pretty bitchin hell of a place. At least it seems like it. We have a pretty diverse city, lots to do and see if you ever come around to visit. Chinatown is scary at night though, as I’m sure it is where you are. Druggies make me feel nervous, although they’re some of the most interesting characters you’ll ever meet. I had a conversation with my heroin addict neighbour the other day about how hugging trees give you “spiritual energy transfer”. I don’t know. He’s a Metis. Friendly guy though when he’s not stir crazy. I think that ESPN did a study of some sort and Toronto was ranked the worst out of all cities. Yikes. Yeah, I know! BC real estate is RIDICULOUS. I was planning on applying to the art institute in Vancouver. Maybe not, afterall, lol. MY ASS CANNOT AFFORD IT.

Er…the rabbit died. My brother let his friend borrow it for a couple days and I don’t know what happened.. I think they left him out in the sun or something. I hope it was a quick death. And aha, yes, you do have green. If you know what I mean. Ho+loser=HOSER.

Miranda Cosgrove? Woah, bro. I’ve been able to keep my Toews fever in check. I really like Nazem Kadri now. I know his uncle. Connections, see? Not that they’re getting me any closer to my shallow, jersey chasing goal. Do you listen to Kpop? EVERYONE I KNOW LISTENS TO IT. Including my mom. It’s kind of pathetic when your mom is more pop culture savvy than you are.

Okay, I know this has been said by nearly everyone who gives a shit, but this summer has been one of the worst for hockey. The Lokomotiv accident was a huge blow and shocker to end things off. And what the hell is up with the Drew Doughty situation? The guy’s just being an ass. Be classy and go to work. There are many, many underpaid stars in the NHL. That’s just the way the wind blows. Life sucks. Oh well. School is going pretty well. No, that’s a lie, but I generally don’t mind it too much. I have biology, IAPS, math, and photography this semester, which isn’t bad. My math teacher is awful, yet hilarious. I think he’s clinically depressed. Must be a Leafs fan. Haha.

EXCITED FOR THE BATTLE OF THE SCHENNS TONIGHT!!

Hahaha! I’m not too scared of bugs; creepy little dudes ain’t got nothin’ on me. It’s cool, I watch way too much Exterminator. Wait until I tell you about our wasp infestation… We’ve actually moved back upstairs and I now have the luxury of brooding in silence again. Peace, quiet, no moths. Is nice… Painting was fun. My arms hurt like hell though. I love walking through Ikea: looking at quirky displays, stocking up on pencils and tape measure, and stealing winks on their nice comfy couches. And their 1.99 meatballs! My restaurant is Ikea. SO GOOD! I once saw a little kid sleeping on one of those beds, lol. They are so hospitable. Hey, you know what I’m talking about. Sedins, Alfie, Backstrom, Pajaarvi, Lidstrom, FORSBERG. Ah.

Well, west may be best, but east is beast! One of my friends is travelling in BC/Alberta. She says she may never come home. I don’t blame her. This city is rude (from Canadian standards anyway) with sports teams that can’t play very well. Thing is, everyone here will at some point badmouth the city and threaten to move elsewhere, but no one will actually have the balls to leave. It’s a Toronto thing. I’m still somewhat emotionally attached. Haha, my dad’s a fan of golf, so it’s not like I’m only watching to scope out the “mature” hotties. But here’s a little secret: I’m actually sort of into it. Don’t tell anyone or I will set a swarm of moths upon you. Gosh, I must be really missing the NHL. Only a month left until preseason! And I got a bunny! Named it Puck. Oh yes I did. Beaver’s always got a new something. My friend who’s a musician said that he’d have to hold his balls to sing that high. Gave me a good laugh.

Yeah, I know! I’ve actually been watching it. And the worst thing is, I sort of like it. But just an eensy tiny bit. It’s pretty prime entertainment right now. Can’t wait until real TV comes back!! America is a funny place. They say “y’all”, we say “eh”. They say soda, we say pop. They say tomato, we say pamplemousse. What?! Well, ahem, according to my NHL teams poster, Vancouver also has blue and white, so suck on my maple leaf hoser! ;P

Yes! Go Addy! I saw that on facebook. You go girl because I kinda got Toews fever back and imma need that man for myself. Can’t cockblock me now. Hehehe. Yeah I didn’t like their logo too much, but then I went on NHL.com and saw it there and it didn’t seem so bad. Wow, there are some damn ugly logos. I like the old Jets better. But that’s just me. Aha. I will always love Stamkos. Trying to get my aunt to hook us up still!!

And Rypien played in Vancouver, too! Jack Layton’s death was also super surprising. I mean I knew he was sick, but I never imagined it would be so fast. Steve Jobs was supposed to die a while ago and the loser is still croaking. Anyway, his final letter really touched my heart. He was an unbelievably classy man in the sketchy business of politics. It should’ve been Harper. (Shh.)

Hey, it’s been a while, eh? I’m sorry for not writing and to be honest I sorta miss your witty, wise online prescence. We’ve been renovating and have been stuck in our crap basement for the past month. No natural light, a funky stench, and moth infestation? Fuck my life. And our whole family is crammed into a single bedroom, which means no privacy whatsoever. I’m going to go utterly insane. On the plus side I get to repaint and do some redecorating. Do you have any idea how much fun it is to put together Ikea furniture? Afternoon well spent in my books. God bless Swedish imports.

Hey, I took your advice and learned the dougie. Unfortunately I’m pretty sure I alienated everyone in this city when I bust it out at the Caribbean festival. Yeah, you gotta teach me that Vancouver swag! I hate it when people call me a “puck bunny”. I will admit, I am shallow when it comes to certain sports; I once spent an afternoon watching PGA golf just to see Rory McIlroy in those sexy golf pants, but I’m actually a fairly knowledgeable hockey fan. But yeah, Rangers got some hotties. Is it so wrong to notice? Okay, Bozak is shit, but he has his place in my heart. Like Justin Bieber’s new perfume, Someday Tyler, someday.

I had a pretty nice time in the states. I went there hoping to find a nice American gorilla juicehead, but all I found were Sault St. Marie gingers. Either way, I like. Some American girls were very friendly, others not so much. I’m doing a blue base coat with white stripes and a handpainted logo. I have a couple posters and ticket stubs I can frame for wall art, as well as some game souvenirs for display. Summer projects are always a win.

I love salmon. I’ve never had real Filipino food before. I really want to, though. Ah. My brother loves me. I love torturing him. A lot of love in this family FO SHIZZLE.

So what have you been up to all summer? What do you think of the jets new logo? I already predict a long tenure of redesigns Vancouver-style. And last, but not least, Stamkos’ new deal? I for one am reeeeeally disappointed that he did not sign with Toronto. What a shocker. Like I really didn’t see it coming. I guess life is just full of surprises.

Oh my gosh, don’t make it more painful than it already is. Oh and I can’t do the moonwalk either. Nor the single ladies dance. Ditto the jerk. Ugh, I suck at life. But I can whip my hair back and forth! Richards is a greedy bastard. It’s not about the money, money, money….okay, it’s a little about the money. Personally, I hate NY. And I can tolerate most teams, so that’s saying a lot. Yeah Lombardi’s alright. I’d like him better if he could play though. I tend to gravitate towards players who are not only goodlooking, but also somewhat good at their craft. Looks will only get you so far with me. I refuse to be that shallow. However, Tyler Bozak is my one exception. He’s sorta good at faceoffs?

I think I’ve lost some respect for Ehrhoff through all the shenanigans and whatnots. It started with his mediocre performance (along with most of Vancouver’s squad) in the cup finals and it’s been a downward spiral ever since. Another greedy bastard. All Dale Tallon needs to persuade them is a golf green and a dolphins t shirt and they’re sold. Bribing is how we do it in 2011.

I’ve decided to put off the job search until after my trip to the States. I’m going to Pennsylvania this week with my church. Should be fun. Looking forward to spending time with actual people. And shopping minus tax. My summer has been unproductive for the most part. I’m going to try my hardest to change my procrastinating ways, but it’s a work in progress. We’re renovating next week so I should have plenty to do then. My brother wants a hockey/sports theme bedroom. Not sure how I’ll achieve that, but I have a couple ideas. Suggestions?

Fishing is pretty damn fun. When you catch fish that is. The funny thing is after we take it home no one wants to eat it anymore. My brother almost fell in a couple times. A few of those times I was the one who pushed. Teehee.

I still can’t Dougie! Greatest failure of my life thus far. I’m super ashamed. So many trades and FA signings, eh? Especially in the first couple hours. Damn, Burkie missed out big on Brad Richards. I thought the contract was sort of ridiculous, then again, it’s New York, coughGOMEZcough. I can’t believe we got Lombardi and Cody Franson for Lebda and some no namer. LEBDA, OF ALL PEOPLE! I hope we sign Luke Schenn, for my personal needs. That need being EYE CANDY. And defence… WOAH, DID ERHOFF SIGN A DEAL? That was unexpected. How much do you want to bet that bratwurst played a key role in the signing? I’ve always liked Bieksa. It seems like you guys can afford to keep basically the same roster for next season. My question is, why are all the players flocking to Florida? I get that it’s a nice warm haven with beautiful beaches and all, but come on. Find that last drop of integrity within you and sign with Toronto, PLEASE. Like, I dare you. I saw the picture, too, but I’m not sure where it came from. Apparently, Stamkos is still unsigned, so…..

    HANDS OFF BITCH. Just saying.

I know! I love all her “aboots”, but no one really pronounces it like that. She’s actually a fairly good singer as Robin Sparkles. IM GONNA ROCK YOUR BODY TIL CANADA DAY! Speaking of, how was your Canada Day? I didn’t get to see fireworks, save for a few from the neighbours. But I heard them, alright. All. Night. Long.

Lol, that bucket list is pretty ridiculous. I actually crossed off a few this weekend. I’m been looking around, but most places aren’t looking for more applicants. I got this online writing gig, which doesn’t pay, but I guess I could use it for my resume. I actually started a new blog to record my summer escapades. Hopefully I will actually maintain this one, although I am looking to restart the hockey one next season. Procrastination is a beautiful thing.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH. I missed Pride Parade! My aunt didn’t want to go anymore because she was “tired”, so I went fishing with my family instead. It was actually a lot of fun; we caught tons of fish. But still, I missed PRIDE. Depressing, much?

I just realised I used a lot of CAPS. CAN YOU SENSE THE EMOTION I’M CONVEYING?

Haha, that’s pretty understandable. I’ll probably go back to despising them in the regular season. To be honest, I’m still bitter about Kessel for Seguin and now DOUGIE HAMILTON. Teach me how to Dougie, teach me, teach me how to Dougie. I love doing that. I need more friends named Doug. I’ve kind of come to terms with these ridiculous trades, but it’s the players I really feel bad for. I think they both felt a little betrayed. I would. True, at least we’ll see the Schenn brothers play more often. Luke is pretty physical so maybe we’ll see some sibling rivalry… Oh I heard Bieksa got resigned! Congrats for you guys. Sucks for us. Haha, at this point, anyone unsigned is regarded as a potential Leaf. This guy was talking to me about possibly acquiring Stamkos. Yea…..no.

Does this mean I get to flirt with Toews? ;)

Awwwww man. It’s okay, the awards were pretty mediocre this year. There were funny bits, but yeah, WHAT THE HELL WERE THOSE HOUSEWIVES DOING THERE??? Like their only claim to fame is having skin tighter than Brett Lebda’s pussy. Were those honestly the most “famous” people they could get? OH MY GOD, I LOVE ROBIN SPARKLES. Let’s go to the mall, everybodayyyyy!! Brilliant.

I’m just trying not to get lazy this summer! I’ve been putting together a list, a “bucket list”, if you will, of things that I could possibly do. I feel like my parents are sort of pressuring me to get a job just because so many kids my age are doing it. I’ve been looking on Craigslist, too, but I don’t know if I can trust it. I might just do volunteer work instead. Buff up my resume.

I HATED THAT BOOK TOO! It wouldn’t have been as painful if we didn’t delve into it so deeply. It’s so true! I just got my marks today. I did surprisingly well in English, but my math dropped 6%. I don’t give a shit anymore though. Screw it. There is a lot going on in Toronto. My aunt and I are hitting up Pride Parade this weekend, I believe. Got my double rainbow t shirt ironed and ready to go. I just went to Wonderland last week. I’ve decided I’m going to elope with the dude who mans the carrousel. He’s too funny. Haha, maybe you can have Stamkos, after all.

I used to hate Boston with a vengence, but they kinda surprised me this year. Plus, Seguin’s bringing Lord Stanley to Toronto this summer, so I can’t hate on that. Whaaat the hell is going on with the Flyers shipping off Richards and Carter? Nooooo, the bromance is over. I was surprised they made two blockbuster deals in one day. To be fair, they got some pretty decent prospects, but man, what an exodus of talent. I’m just sad the deal with Toronto didn’t work out. Apparently, Burky was interested in them and Philly’s management was like, I’ll call you back. They never did. Arrgh, I wanted to see baby Schenn come to Toronto. And Wayne Simmonds, my actual homeboy. I hope your d-men get resigned, which should be okay with the salary cap increased. Or better yet, they should sign with TORONTO…! Lol, I can bandwagon all I want in the postseason, but now that it’s over, I’ve got to side with my Leafs.

Will do! I don’t think my aunt wants to get married anytime soon, though. Hell no, girlfriend. If you even think about snatching my Stamkos, I’ll cut you. :(

Did you watch the NHL awards? It was pretty funny, but the acceptance speeches were all so cliché and boring. Would it kill for someone to have a little personality? Marchand gets my vote for best rapper! The Ryan vs. Ryan partie deux was not as clever as the first, but the Corey Perry guest appearance made my day. And I loooooove Niedermayer. Always.

I need to find a job, too. Most of my friends applied months in advance, so I’m pretty late. I’m just gonna sit back until the first round of layoffs, and that’s when I make my move. I think it can be good to take some time off before post-secondary. I’m not sure what I want to do, yet.

I think I did well on my French, but math and English were fucked up. Math, not as much, but English was seriously weird. Our exam was on that book, Lord of the Flies and the essay question was really confusing. But it’s alright, this year is behind me. Free at last, free at last.
I HOPE YOU HAVE A LOVELY SUMMER.

Thank you for the comment. I should probably read through everything before I update, I usually type fast and miss my mistakes. But I hadn't updated in so long, I knew that if I were to edit it, I would put it off and it would have taken forever for me to update. I'm glad that you think I managed to capture her pain well. I think bullying and/or self-harm has touched readers and are able to relate in some sort of way.

Argh. This whole series is just so bizarre. It’s unbelievable how Boston is outscoring Vancouver, yet there’s a game seven. Wtf happened to Raymond? Man, it seems like every game someone’s getting hurt. These games are pretty exciting and I sorta like the animosity forming between the two teams, who would’ve thought, right? Emotions are running high, maturity is running low. Marchand is a gangster, though. TRIPLE MARCHAND? Pierre McGuire shoulda done that game, just saying. All I know is shit’s going down tonight. I’m so sad that the season is over, but my grades will be happy. Last year I was watching the finals instead of cramming for math like I should’ve been. I didn’t do so well…Hey, you know what I just found out? My aunt is dating Stamkos’ buddy. I’m like INVITE HIM TO THE WEDDING PLEASE!!! I’ve decided he’s my future hubby. Come on, it’s a little more reasonable than your Burrows. I don’t remember Detroit ever being bad. They’re just always in the mix. Hopefully those veterans will retire when/if Detroit moves to the east. Leafs can’t handle that shit, no.

The shirts were pretty fun. I’ve been making my own t shirts lately. I’ll send you a Bettman one, haha. Yeah, it’s pretty exciting. Have they signed Ladd yet? INK HIM NOW DAMMIT. Hahaha, “ex-Thrashers”. I love it. I would love to live in a small Canadian town, just to experience the atmosphere. Hey, I haven’t given up my dream of living on a farm in Alberta, raising little hockey players some day. Or BC interior. Somewhere out west. Schremp is sorta cute. Sorta. I’ve still got my eyes set on Stamkos, don’t worry. YOU CAN FISH IN THE SUMMER! I love fishing with my dad. I gotta check out Toews lake one day.

I reeeeeeeeally want Van to win tonight, but I dunno, I feel like Boston deserves it more just because they’ve been playing better. At home, anyway. Nucks have to redeem themselves and Robi Wan Kenobi has to play like the jedi we know he is.

Smart girl. How does that work though? And what will you be doing? I AM SO FRUSTRATED WITH EXAMS RIGHT NOW. I’ve got my French done today (yippee), but I still have 2 culm and 2 exams left. Back to work for me.

The reffing last night was pretty bad. There were miscalls and missed calls and what was going on with Burrows and Begeron? Did he really bite him? On a better note, go ‘nucks go, you got this! Game 1 was kinda boring, not gonna lie. You know there’s something wrong with your offense when the three stars are the goalies and Raffi Torres. Good on him for getting that goal to stop it from going to overtime. I guess the theme of these playoffs has been unlikely heroes. I felt so bad when Marty St. Louis started to cry. And Stamkos, yikes. When it happened I ran around the house, screaming “my baby!!!” He’ll be alright though. I’m not usually big on large age gaps because there’s something particularly unerving about being attracted to a man around your dad’s age. But c’mon, it’s fricken Guy Boucher. I find sports scars oddly attractive on guys. Ozzy is my special thing, alright. I hope he stays in Detroit. Actually, the whole idea of Detroit’s stars retiring all at once makes me queasy.

THE DEAL IS DONE BITCHES!! I loved the various “I hate Bettman” t shirts the Winnipeggers were sporting. I want one now. I’m glad the deal is done, and I really hope the players are willing to tough it out in the Peg. Rob Schremp seems pretty cool about it. He said he would prefer to play in Canada, which is ironic because he’s American. I like hiiiiiiim. They’ve sold over 4000 presale seats already. Lookin’ good for the drive to 13,000. There might be not a lot to do in the winter, but there’s hockey! Jonathan Toews will agree. WHAT? You get Toews? Fine. I have to get someone, too, though. I don’t know who it is yet, but I have ideas.

I AGREE! It looks good for you guys, no? This year Vancouver is Canada’s team, spoken like a true bandwagon Canucks fan 2011. I want that on a bumper sticker. Last years finals were pretty good even if you hate the Hawks.

Did you see MTV live in Vancouver? Those Canucks teletubbies are the shit. ILOVEPO.

Okay, so the refs in the playoffs are just awful. It’s like they’ll give one team straight and then switch over. If you’re conspiring to screw over a team, just commit already. Some are just blind. They need some work done on their eyes, Malhotra-style. Speaking of which, I hear he might possibly be back for the finals! Haha, it seems like all the Canucks are healing. It sucks when teams are handicapped by injuries like Montreal and Philly were. Anyway, if Boston’s playing Van in the finals they’ll need those faceoff wins. Bergeron and Krejci can be pretty darn stellar. At this point I don’t even know who I’m cheering for out of the east because I’ve been liking St. Louis and Purcell more and more as the series winds down. Have you seen the Purcell interview about “Dildo” for TheScore? It’s an old gem and as long as he keeps recording points, he can be my “captain dildo” any day. Bahahaha. I know you don’t like TB, but going from LA reject to playoff hero is my kind of feel good story. HE DOES! Like if Keanu had hockey scars, which I’m assuming is what Boucher has on his face. I’ve always found him pretty fly for an old guy. That’s probably my only creepy hockey crush. And Chris Osgood, but he’s special…

Eughh. It’ll happen. IT BETTER. I don’t really like Atlanta except for Ladd and Evander Kane. Hopefully I’ll like them better in Winnipeg. Jets plus Thrashers equalsThrusters! Just imagine the literary potential with that. Gaining strength with every thrust! Thrusting into the playoffs! Oh yeah. Bryzgalov said that Winnipeg is “too cold” and there’s “nothing to do there”. He also added that he didn’t want him family to live there and he would rather play in the KHL. Somebody’s not getting a contract extension... Aw I would help, but that’d feel extremely third-wheelish. Bonnie…Clyde…and unidentified female. Awkward.

So it’s off to the finals for you guys! ‘Nucks be bringing the grail up noth, I feel it! People are saying that I’m a disloyal Leafs fan for bandwagoning, but they can just shove it in my fuck-it-bucket. It’s going to be an awesome final. It’s going to be…legendary.

Speaking of refs, I think a couple got nailed in the last Boston/TB game. I find it pretty amusing, watching them jump and twirl to avoid the puck. I actually like the Bruins this year, there are a couple ex/couldabeen Leafs on that team. If Burrows is your future hubby, then Seguin is mine. I know he’s not ginger, nor Swedish, but we can work on that. I’m so pissed cuz we could’ve had him in Toronto! Brian Burke is kicking himself in the nuts right now. Round 3 is turning out to be even more entertaining than the first. The second one kinda sucked because the series were so lopsided. I think the east is going to 7 games because it has some room. Holy crap, Guy Boucher has better facial expressions than Carrie Underwood. I feel like Kesler’s role has been diminished because all the Sharks are watching him now. Ben Eager is such a douche. I mean he’s a decent player when he shuts up, but he doesn’t do that nearly enough. Reminds me of an old Lapierre, who has been great, by the way.

Apparently the deal is pretty much done. I kinda wished Phoenix moved just to spite Bryzgalov. Go play in the KHL if that makes you happy, but don’t talk shit about Winnipeg. Plus, you play a game on ice, get used to the cold, stupid. I swear Toews is going to cut him. I don’t mind spring rain, but sometimes it kinda ruins your plans. Grr.

I’m so happy we have a long weekend coming up! That’s another good thing about the monarchy: unnecessary holidays. I could use a couple more of those.

Me too, I don’t want a bum who doesn’t do shit. Most guys don’t manage their money well. At least guys our age don’t. I’m kind of a penny pincher, so it bothers me when people spend exessively or are wasteful. I try not to buy into consumerism as much as the average person, but I agree money is important. Haha, you should share that radar with me because it seems like mine only detects assholes.
