@ SmilingScarlet I'm fairly certain she had a mental health disturbance, so I took her behavior in stride, but yeah... my ears were bleeding. What do you do in a situation like that?
Generally I don't believe people when they tell me that, and then I'm just confused as to why, and intrigued by all of the various dynamics. But yeah, honestly I don't think what you like matters, but rather who you like.
P.S. Thank you for recommending my story, I appreciate that
@ SmilingScarlet It was disturbing, man! so... I AM GLAD YOUR BRAIN BROKE, DAMMIT!
I consider myself asexual, so I just find it very interesting, I'm never really disturbed by any of it. Even huge age differences just... intrigue me? I always just assumed that if I got into a relationship it would be based on just liking the person, y'know?
@ Rave on Spaceboy It honestly sounds like it, that or she's just open to talk. So never mind that noise, haha. OH MY GOD NO!? She didn't! I AM SO SORRY! That was rude, but wow! Just wow. My brain just broke too.
I feel the same, and the same situation. I'm still confused about my own sexuality, so when women/men/transgendered peeps hit on me, I'm neither disgusted nor turned off...if anything I wonder what in the living hell they find attractive.
@ SmilingScarlet I'm not sure, (I hope not) she definitely liked to talk about her love life. Something with chains and feather dusters... I think she broke my brain.
Yeah, I've never been that aware of my looks, if I had them or not, so it's always odd when someone hits on me. Also, the variety of people who have hit on me is weird; peers of both genders, older men, tranvestites, nerdy people, tough people. It really makes no sense.
@ Rave on Spaceboy Yes! No lie, love. Just so weird. Wait...really? Oy vey, people really are funny creatures. I'm so sorry I laughed at that last part. She's queen of subtle I see. Chances are she found you very attractive, and tried giving out hints. The same happened to me, a man saw my last name and said that he'd had many Mexican girlfriends.
I never thought of myself as someone that would be considered attractive until I got this hotel job.
@ SmilingScarlet Oh jesus, seriously? I once had a guy corner me to tell me his whole romantic history, the conclusion seemed to be that girls were suicidal when he left them. I also had an old woman tell me about all of the young men she seduces. I... was disturbed.
@ Rave on Spaceboy o_o...whoa, that's just ew. People are so weird! I have, they were so creepy I had to call my general manager in. There was this one fellow who came in a wheelchair, and normally it'd be alright, but this man could actually walk. He just had a prosthetic leg. He was kicked out of other hotels because he groped employees...like whoa.
There was this other one who outright asked if I wanted to have sex with him. this was a guy from a football team from a Christian college. Double
@ SmilingScarlet Oh definitely. I had one guy on a three day vacation that insisted on coming in every day to tease me. He even told me, "I am coming back every day to mess with you". I had to deal with a lot of drunks though, and they were creepy in a general way. I imagine you've had a few creepy guests?
@ SmilingScarlet I'm having a hard time believing that English is not your first language, so yes, I don't doubt you spoke better english than them. I hate when people think they're funny; nine times out of ten they just flat out aren't.
@ Rave on Spaceboy Nope! They legit asked, and I responded not so nicely, and they actually got mad that I did. I wanted to go so far as to say that I probably spoke better English than he did.
Oh the self-entitled people really do make me sick. Please, no. Haha! If I had a spouse I'd be showering them with positive love...like I hate that. I get a lot of people at this hotel who cheat on their spouses...I really hate it :/
@ SmilingScarlet Asked if you were legal? Are you kidding me? I met some really nasty people, too . People who complained about everything, or thought they were entitled to special discounts/treatment, and were just overall confrontational. Twice I was paid to make someone look busy so they could avoid their spouse. Twice!
@ Rave on Spaceboy Oh man bosses make or break the job! Mine isn't big on confrontation, and it really sucks! Same here! I've met paranoid men that have wanted us to be very articulate about how we handled him, one man that really hated republicans--a whole array! I, for the first time, had the displeasure of meeting a very racist pair of brothers the other day. Saw my name tag, they also saw the last name and proceeded to ask if I was illegal...they thought they were being funny.
@ SmilingScarlet It was nice being able to be outside, there were fun moments; though I had a boss from hell who didn't believe in breaks or regular payment... or civility. I did meet cool tourists. I met people from all over the States and the world, from all different backgrounds. It was cool, it really opened my eyes to just the scope of society, and the breadth of the spectrum of personality. I like to talk to people from all over the world, which is why I'm crazy about the internet
@ Rave on Spaceboy I'd love to work some where where I didn't have to stand behind a desk all the time. I wouldn't mind a tan either, I'm a not so tanned Mexican
I have a few too many, but it's all good. I get paid anyway, haha. That's always good! I'd imagine you'd meet some cool tourists? I have a lot of French speaking people come to the hotel, as well as Spanish speakers. I impress them with my lame and awkward French, and not so bad Spanish
