Here's the thing. I'm all for feedback, obviously that's why I'm here. But, in my opinion, it wasn't honest, it was brutal. I mean, really? You told me I was sending a horrible message to girls. That's not just telling me my writing isn't good or I need to work on my dialogue, which are critiques I could use to get better at something I love to do. That's like... a personal hit, bro. THAT'S why I'm offended. I get where you're coming from, and don't think I don't appreciate every single person who takes the time out of their day to read the silly stories I've written, because I do. I appreciate it more than anyone realizes. I also appreciate when people can tell me what I need to work on. I do not, however, appreciate when someone comes at me and tells me something like that I'm sending out a terrible message. You know what I mean?

okay we're gonna back track a little here because I didn't realize how old that story was. I really truly honestly didn't mean to offend you, I literally spent hours of my time reading the prequel and the beginning of that story. I was up reading at 1am & so on while I should've been studying for my midterms, that's how into the story I was. I don't know why I reacted so strongly but something in me was just like SERIOUSLY I just spent hours reading this story and she's not even going to tell him? Ya feel where I'm coming from? Shouldn't have taken my frustration out on you but I was also giving you my honest feedback. Which there was nothing you could do about because you had finished the story already (which I didn't know) so I'm not quite sure why you're that offended. Was just giving feedback.

Wow. I honestly don't even know where to start. I guess I want to start with the fact that you think that story has a terrible message for girls. You're right, that wasn't my intention. Never in a million years would that be my intention. The fact that that's what you got from it is ridiculous, quite honestly. The entire POINT of the story was that Josh was being driven by his anger. Yeah, maybe I shouldn't have used slag as much as I did, but it was how I could get his anger across.

Your hangup on my characters standing up for themselves is driving me up a wall, too. Because you know what? Not everyone has it in them to stand up to other people, but it doesn't make them any less of a person. It's just a character trait, that they have a hard time standing up for themselves, and I'm sorry if you don't like it but it's just the way it is. Peyton couldn't just tell Josh about her depression and her bad dreams because they'd completely consumed her and she didn't want to tell ANYONE, let alone Josh. That was something she had to get over on her own and that was the point of the story. If you missed that, well... I don't know what to tell you.

I don't know what you're trying to say in the end. You stopped reading? Fine. That's fine. I've started reading stories before and stopped because I didn't like something, but I've never commented and ripped that person and their writing apart. That's uncalled for, rude, and honestly just ridiculous.

Sorry about the short chapter for Forever. It was originally much longer, but my flashdrive for my computer crashed a few weeks ago and I literally lost everything. I have to start everything from the beginning. I loved what I had written before and tried to write all that I could remember exactly, but a lot of it was lost and I didn't want to ruin it by adding something unplanned just to make it longer. This chapter was important though c: The next ones will be longer, I promise, please bear with us!

Darren's kind of a hard act to balance. I want him to be the shadow you see from the corner of your eye, not like Simon who was already there and more or less in your face. They're going to talk... eventually. But right now I like him being this almost-there-not-really thing he is.
