Muahaha! Yes, a little cliffhanger but it wasn’t a mean cliffhanger like the ones you sometimes do. Girl, I remember all the times it looked like you might’ve killed someone off or you left us in the middle of ahhhhhhhhhhhhh worthy drama!

OMG I fucking love writing the Alistair bits. I’m trying to figure out how I’m going to make him and Ember come together. I genuinely feel like he’s going to just show up in Washington under the pretense of seeing Paulina but will actually be looking for Ember. I have so many idead! Haha yes the shit is FINALLY getting real. I can’t wait to write it!

Also, I hope all is well with you :)

Ah, yes, after all our talk about new stories, I’ve been somewhat inspired. So I’m trying to get some of my stuff finished before I can start these new things. Hearing that you were working on the next chapter of GWTD made me really giddy.

Are the addresses really complicated? I guess when you’ve always known them to be that way you don’t realize it.

New Year’s been good so far (well nothing really happened, but that also means nothing bad happened). How is yours?

I’ve been searching for Miss Peregrine’s for Peculiar Children since you recommended it, and getting increasingly frustrated because I can’t find it in an actual bookshop, and I’ve had to order it. Hopefully I’ll get it soon. Talking about books, I was listening to the radio adaptation of Good Omens by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett on BBC radio 4 the other day, and I thought that you might like it. Anyway, here’s the link: http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b04knt4h

This thief story sounds brilliant! If you ever decide to post it here, you already have a reader.

I want to call one story 'grifters' and have it about a group of people creating scams and conning people for a living, and I'd title each chapter after a famous type of fraud or a famous con artist. I've got the characters, but I'm not sure how I could make the whole thing work. And I'm not sure whether it should be set now or in the thirties (these are the 2 settings that would make sense to me). I also fear that it might be a little too ambitious and that it would require a lot of research. But I do love thieves and frauds as characters...
I've also got ideas for a story which is for now just that one girl who one day decides to just get on a plane and leave and again I've got my character and the title for the first chapter (the call of the void) and bits of dialogue and absolutely no plot in this one.
And I'd also want to write something with supernatural characteristics but I don't know for sure what that would be about. Also not sure if it should be an original or not. I just miss writing about supernatural things and having super evil villains - actually that's just it: I want to write about a super evil villain again. I really want to write about a super evil villain!
I'll let you know more as soon as I have something that vaguely resembles a first chapter for all of these stories.

What did you make me do?? After our talk, I started writing down bits and pieces for two stories I wanted to write (it's nothing definitive yet, but I get really excited about these damn ideas). I've also started writing things down for stories that I've already up. So if I find myself with a lot of new unfinished things, I'll blame you :)

Do it! Oh, that sounds so great. And that sequel... Oh, that sounds like a brilliant idea. If you did indeed finish it, I'd finish or start anything that you'd want to read (but of course, if I start something, I might actually never finish it. And when I say finish, of course I mean write two or three updates and then sort of forget about it... ah, why must I be so fickle!)
But seriously, this idea sounds fabulous.

Nooo! Don't delete anything (she says after she just finished deleting a couple of stories herself)! I like to go and re-read your stories every once in a while, even the ones that are not finished. I'd list the ones that I want to read more of, but that would end up just being the list of the stories you have. I'll admit that I wonder what's going to happen in Landfill, or Dazed and Confused, or Night and Day, or If Not For You... Need I go on?

I totally understand you. Sometimes I'm in the mood for writing and I'm thinking that I need to finish a couple of stories before I start anything new, but then I look at the list of unfinished things I have, and I don't know what to do. Some stories haven't been updated for 2 years, and I'm not sure if there's any point continuing them. Yet I'm always scared to delete them because those are the stories that I've been working on for so long. But I really don't know which ones are worth continuing.

Yes to crazy, and yes to supernatural elements!
That's what I loved about writing Twilight and Harry Potter fanfic. When people would say stuff like 'that's not realistic at all', you could just go and reply 'well, you're reading a story about vampires or wizards, so...' Or just go 'Boom, magic' when you didn't want to explain something.

Talking about this made me think that, actually, that was the kind of ending that I was going for with Trouble Will Follow. I wanted to have it end with everyone finding themselves in Locke's offices, and then Elliot would just go and blow everything up, and everybody would've been like wtf, you can't just kill them all! And I would've been like let's be realistic for a moment, she wasn't going to let everyone live anyway. But then I got attached to the characters and sort of went 'nah, can't kill them' plus people were actually reading the damn thing, and there would've been a riot if I'd gone 'and then she just killed all those damn Cullens, end of the story'. Ha, now that I think about that again, I'm half tempted to write two or three half-assed chapters to tie all lose ends and then have that happen.

I know, right? They're just characters, but it's so hard to let them go! Even when I kill characters to be over with the story, I can't help thinking 'oh no, I've changed my mind, you can't be dead. I'm going to bring you back."

And then I feel bad because I have so many unfinished things. I should just post an update to each of these stories saying 'and then there was a nuclear explosion and everyone died.' or 'and then aliens invaded the earth and killed everyone.' But I suppose even then after a moment I would think 'okay, they're dead, but what if they could come back??'

My Christmas was alright (but I invited people so I had to do the all the cooking, which is not as funny as I'd thought it might be). I hope yours was nice too.

Ha, I really like what you've got so far with this story. I liked all your stories, so it's not surprising, really. And I do like when things get more complicated, so I'll definitely be waiting for when it happens.

I've been toying with a few new ideas but not writing anything down (I'd like to write something with con-artists, but I'm not really sure how that would work). I do have half-written chapters for stories I haven't updated in ages, but I'm not sure what I should post and what I should just throw away. I've also read some of my old stuff a while ago, and I kept thinking 'man, the idea was really not bad, but the writing... maybe I should start these stories from scratch again. It would be interesting to see what I would change, seeing as I am now so much older and - huh - wiser.' But I know that if started, I'd probably ditch it mid-way through the story. I guess I need to focus on one project and stick with it until it's done.

    Muchas gracias Amber!
I'm glad you liked the chapter and I am so fucking excited to start work on the next part so that I can introduce your lovely lady and then finish that sequel so I can start to give Alistair his happily ever after! I've been bad to that man, but your character will absolve me of that!

    Ahhhh!!
Pinche Amber, you made me all sorts of emotional with your comment. I suppose that’s payback for having made you cry, but it’s not rad, not rad at all. You’ve no idea how much it means to hear you say that it was gut wrenching. And then when you mentioned our Quizilla days, I got a bit nostalgic. We had some good times on that crappy website. I’ll never forget the oneshots we wrote for each other and the nights spent joking around on AIM. Those were good times.
I promise that I’m going to do my best to update fairly regularly. At present, I’m hoping to be able to finish the first three sequels before December. Since they are only going to be three chapters each, and I’m so excited to introduce your character and to give Alistair his happily ever after. I’m just so stoked! But for now, I’m going to have some pan con leche and go to sleep before eleven, because I feel that I’ve earned it.
Thank you for your fucking amazing and ego boosting words, amiga!

    I'm glad you approved!
I figured that'd be a good match for your lovely lady.
He's going to be a head chef in Brighton. So I'm planning on him being a good sort of lad.
    And yes!
I hate it because i don't want to contribute to the movie's being a success but that man is just so lovely to look at.

I think it’ll be good, and I’ve a feeling you’ll approve of the guy that’s going to portray Rupert.
Ah! I know. I fucking heard about it, and I’d been so determined to not see the damn movie but now I have to because I’m all about that man’s body. Mmmm mmmm goooood

So I decided that cousins on cousins might be a little to weird, even though they're not really cousins . . .
I just read that and it sounds all sorts of wrong, but anyways, the lovely pilot cousin won't be your lovely man.
It'll be Rupert Nathaniel Stevensen (also known affectionately as Rue), a childhood friend from the estate.
