She sounds horrid! How can she just dictate her daughters life?! And from what you've told me she tries to butt into yours as well. It's not right at all. She can't make your decisions.

Exactly, the more our parents try and force us to do what they want, the more we rebel, it's in our DNA. They were young once too, why can't they just back off.

I really wish you weren't in this situation or that I could make it better. Parents shouldn't get in the way of relationships or friendships, it's not their place.

I would be mad too, and you have a right to be. It wasn't her place to bud into your life. She should have kept her mouth shut, an maybe if she wasn't such a bitch her daughter wouldn't go behind her back all the time. (Just my opinion, sorry if it's offensive or what not.)
